Swick's Sportfishing LLC
Book your next trip with Swick's Sportfishing and find out what makes Walleye fishing in Lake Erie so unique. With Captain Jim at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
You will most likely find yourself trolling for Walleye as we can most efficiently cover water and increase our catch rate. You are able to troll with 3 rods per person in Ohio waters of Lake Erie
You are encouraged to contact Capt. Jim and discuss what your objectives are. Whether you are looking to just have a fun day of catching fish or wish to learn something in particular, Capt. Jim can help tailor the trip to suite your needs. (i.e. using electronics, test riding the North River, Walleye trolling tips and tricks, etc…)
Young ones are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, so the proper sizes can be prepared ahead of time. Snacks are also a good idea to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your boat for the day is a 23' North River Seahawk. With plenty of space in the Stern, 3 passengers can fish comfortably. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water, including a bimini and enclosed cabin should you need it. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is provided as necessary.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
It's recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and drinks. Alcohol is not allowed.
And that's it! Your fishing trip with Swick's Sportfishing is just a click away.

James Hudson-bey5.0Potvrđeno⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Lake Erie Fishing Experience with Captain Jim Wick!
4hr Morning Tripna avgust 8, 2026 • 3 odrasle osobeCaptain Jim Wick gave us an absolutely fantastic day on Lake Erie. There were three of us, and from the beginning, Jim made the entire experience easy, enjoyable, and memorable. We came home with 18 walleye! Jim knew exactly where to put us on the fish, and he was patient, knowledgeable, and willing to teach along the way. We weren’t just passengers on a boat — we felt like we were fishing with someone who genuinely wanted us to have a great experience. What really put Jim over the top was what happened afterward. His afternoon charter happened to cancel, and instead of simply calling it a day, he took the extra time to clean all 18 of our walleye for us. He certainly didn’t have to do that, and it says a lot about the type of captain and person he is. Great fishing, great conversation, excellent service, and a captain who goes above and beyond for his customers. If you’re looking for a Lake Erie walleye charter, book Captain Jim Wick. We would absolutely fish with him again. 18 walleye and a great day on the lake — couldn’t ask for much more! 🎣

4 Hour Afternoon Tripna oktobar 25, 2025 • 2 odrasle osobeJim took my dad and I out on a day when other anglers were cancelling on us. His communication and attitude were excellent. Great boat with great tools for finding the fish and an enjoyable time. We caught basically the limit of walleye per person despite unforecasted winds and even some rain. Thanks Jim!

As a youngster, I became passionate about fishing as I fished with my Father, Grandfather, and other family members and friends. Fueled by a competitive spirit and driven to understand the details of how to become a better angler, I am always learning and becoming a better guide and tournament angler. I do not consider Guiding to be as much of a job as I see it being an opportunity to share the Lake Erie experience with others. I look forward to teaching others what I know about the sport and to watching others catching fish and having fun.
