Manistee River Fishing Company is here to show you the stunning waters of Traverse City. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Brad can tell you all about them.
These waters are home to Northern Pike, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, and more if conditions allow. On these trips, you can expect casting to drop offs and rocky points. We drift fish and troll using light tackle.
Trips with Manistee River Fishing Company are great for kids, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your trip begins aboard a 24' Alumaweld Columbia aluminum fishing boat with room for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.
Your trip with Manistee River Fishing Company is just a click away, so why not make it happen?

4 hr Afternoon Trip Long Lakena jun 24, 2026 • 2 odrasle osobeBrad kept working even though the fish weren’t being cooperative. He tried several set ups and locations to keep the action going. Some days you have to grind out the win. We ended up with a nice mixed stringer and he kept it fun.
