- 5.0/5(6hr Trip - Ground Fishing (PM))
Awesome day of fishing!!
Booked a charter with Capt. Derek for 4 guys fishing cod and haddock. It was a huge success!! Very knowledgeable guy. As soon as we put bait in the water we had fish on. Kept consistently catching fish all day. Boat was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. I would highly recommend this charter to anyone looking to have a great time on the water and bring home some filets. Thanks again!!
- 5.0/5(Half Day Trip)
Biggest catch of the season!!
Ozzy was a fabulous captain and fishing guide. He picked us right up at the marina near our hotel. It was just a short boat ride out to our spot and the moment I dropped my line, I had a fish on! We caught cod, coal fish, haddock, hake and polac. my daughter had the monster trophy fish of the day!! Ozzy thanks agsin for a great morning.
- 5.0/5(6hr Trip-Ground Fishing (AM))
Great day for groundfish!
First time out with those captain, and I took two guys with me who had never been deep sea fishing. Captain in first mate, very knowledgeable, helpful, and fun to interact with. Captain Derrick dealt well and vigilantly with the potential for some rough seas, and we all had a great time. Well, hopefully join him again.

O Haddock ribolovu
Haddock is a cold‑water Groundfish known for mild, flaky white meat and steady action. Many anglers target Haddock for fun, fast bites and great table fare. It looks like Cod, with a dark lateral line and a “thumbprint” spot near the pectoral fin.
Most Haddock fishing uses bottom fishing on sand, gravel, or shell. Skippers drift or anchor and present natural bait near the seafloor. Clams, shrimp, squid strips, cut herring, and sand eels work well. Simple high‑low rigs and small jigs tipped with bait are common. Light to medium tackle helps you feel subtle bites and set hooks cleanly.
Expect a relaxed, numbers‑based trip with schools and steady nibbles. This suits first‑timers, kids, and anyone who enjoys constant action. Haddock often hold in cooler, deeper water, so plan for a boat ride and brisk wind. Bring warm layers, non‑slip shoes, sunscreen, and a hat. A small cooler and freezer bags help you bring fillets home where allowed. If you are prone to seasickness, consider medication before leaving the dock.
Before any Haddock fishing trip, check local rules. Confirm if you need a fishing license or permit. Review open seasons, closed areas, and harvest limits where you fish. Regulations change, and the captain will follow the latest rules. When in doubt, ask about release and measuring practices to stay compliant.
