Join us for a true full day of fishing out of Whittier. We can accommodate shorter days if necessary, but prefer to run a little farther to get into less pressured waters (and still have plenty of time to fish). Prince William Sound is a beautiful place to spend a day fishing and hanging out with the many whales, sea lions, porpoise, and other wildlife that frequent our fishing grounds. Private boat only, so you won't get stuck with folks you don't know and have full control of your trip.

Having the full day range, we are able to get out to more productive grounds as we target King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Ling Cod, Black Sea bass, Pacific cod and Black cod. While the fish count is greater on these charters we often see more wildlife along the way as well including Humpback whales and Porpoises. I highly recommend this charter as i strive to make it memorable and abundant with the catch. Fish Processing is offered at the dock we depart from and we also offer lodging if needed.

Lingcod are fierce ambush predators with big teeth and big attitudes. In Alaska, United States, they thrive around rugged reefs and strong currents. Anglers target them for hard fights and mild, flaky fillets that make a great meal after a day on the water.

The go-to approach is bottom fishing over rock piles, pinnacles, and kelp edges. Skippers use heavy jigs, large swimbaits, or cut bait like Herring to draw savage strikes. Many crews fish a controlled drift to keep lures near the bottom, where Lingcod lie in wait. Jigging means sharp lifts and drops to trigger reaction bites.

Most Lingcod charters are straightforward and action-focused. You run to structure, drop gear, and feel for that thump. Trips often pair Lingcod with Halibut or Rockfish when conditions allow. Captains usually supply quality tackle, bait, and safety gear. Bring warm layers, waterproof outerwear, sunglasses, and a camera. Pack snacks and motion medicine if you need it. Plan room for fillets, as many crews can clean your catch after the trip.

Alaska offers broad Lingcod grounds across the state. Productive areas include Southeast Alaska and the Inside Passage, the outer coast near Sitka, Prince William Sound, the Kenai Peninsula, Kodiak Island, and the Gulf of Alaska. Farther west, the Alaska Peninsula and Aleutian Islands also hold impressive fish when seas permit. Local captains know which reefs and ledges produce best in each season.

Before you go, check Alaska’s current fishing rules. Regulations for seasons, size, and daily harvest vary by region and can change. Make sure you have the right fishing license and any required permits. Your captain can guide you, but it is your responsibility to follow all rules.

    (Full Day Trip)

Full day trip with Capt GE

Had one of the best! fishing trips of my life! Captain GE put us right on the fish and had us in the best spot to watch whales jumping right out of the water. We caught the biggest lingcod I have ever seen, along with just about every other species in season. To top it off, we enjoyed amazing scenic views and spotted some humpback whales, puffins, otters and even some brown bears. I'm still hoping to see orcas next time, but I am definitely coming back next year!

    (5 Hour Trip – Salmon/Halibut)

5 hour combo charter with Captain Aaron

Captain Aaron was great, I have fished with him several times and he always delivers. This trip was in late May and we wanted to do a combo fishing trip. He informed us salmon would still be closed but we could have a bottom fishing combo if we preferred. (Always listen to the captain!). We took his advice and had an awesome day! We caught halibut, lingcod, pacific cod, and rockfish! Couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water! Will absolutely be back again.
