On the afternoon of July 6, we headed out to the Pacific side, running a heading of 220° and reaching approximately 12 miles offshore before turning east to work our way back along the coastline. As we passed the Lighthouse area, a striped marlin began tracking our trolling spread. We quickly switched to a rigged dead bait (rigger bait), and the marlin committed. After an exciting fight, we successfully brought the fish alongside the boat and released it in excellent condition. Continuing our troll toward Pedregal, we encountered a school of skipjack tuna. Two fish were hooked and safely released, adding more action to an already productive afternoon. We then made our way back to Cabo San Lucas Marina after another successful Golden Hour trip. ⸻ Conditions: * Calm Pacific afternoon conditions * Active striped marlin near the Lighthouse * Good skipjack activity around Pedregal * Productive blue-water trolling conditions ⸻ Summary: A fun and productive afternoon trip featuring: * 1 striped marlin caught and released * 2 skipjack tuna caught and released A great Golden Hour session with quality billfish action and steady inshore activity, proving once again why the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas is a fantastic late-afternoon fishery. ????

On June 4, we departed Cabo San Lucas heading south. At approximately 3 miles offshore, a striped marlin aggressively struck the rigger bait, but after the initial hookup, it crossed the line and broke free, costing us the fish. We then changed course west and continued fishing off the Diamante area. About 4 miles from shore, another striped marlin attacked the rigger bait. This time, after a great fight, we successfully brought the fish alongside the boat and released it in excellent condition. On the run back toward Cabo, while working the 3-mile line, we had one final encounter with another striped marlin that aggressively followed the trolling lures but refused to commit. We returned to the marina after another exciting day of marlin fishing. ⸻ Conditions: * Good offshore trolling conditions * Active striped marlin along the coastline * Productive blue water near Diamante * Selective but aggressive billfish behavior ⸻ Summary: A solid offshore trip featuring: * 1 striped marlin caught and released * 1 striped marlin lost after breaking the line * 1 additional striped marlin followed the spread Another technical day on the water, proving that persistence and proper bait presentation continue to produce excellent striped marlin action in Cabo San Lucas. ???

July 2, ADRENALINA departed Cabo San Lucas heading south. Just 3 miles offshore, we spotted a striped marlin tailing on the surface. We pitched a live bait to the fish, but despite several presentations, it refused to bite. Continuing along the same course, at approximately 4.5 miles offshore, the action picked up quickly when two mahi mahi struck simultaneously—one on a ballyhoo rigged bait (rigger bait) and the other on a pink Hoochie lure. Both fish were successfully landed. As we brought the first mahi mahi aboard, another striped marlin appeared on the surface. We immediately pitched a live bait, and the marlin aggressively ate it, creating an exciting simultaneous fight with the remaining mahi mahi. Both fish were successfully landed, with the marlin released in healthy condition. We continued trolling before starting our return to Cabo. As we were retrieving the trolling lures and baits, a school of striped marlin suddenly appeared behind the spread. Two fish struck almost at the same time, resulting in an incredible double marlin hookup. After exciting battles, both striped marlin were successfully released. ⸻ Conditions: * Excellent blue-water conditions * Outstanding surface marlin activity * Strong mahi mahi bite * Ideal offshore trolling conditions ⸻ Summary: An unforgettable offshore trip featuring: * 2 mahi mahi landed * 3 striped marlin caught and released * 1 double mahi mahi hookup * 1 double striped marlin hookup A spectacular day aboard ADRENALINA, with nonstop action and multiple simultaneous hookups, highlighting the incredible summer fishing currently taking place in Cabo San Lucas. ????

On June 28, we departed Cabo San Lucas heading south before making our way toward the 95 Spot. After arriving in the area, we found the water color had turned green, making conditions less favorable for offshore fishing. Based on the conditions, we adjusted our strategy and continued farther south toward La Herradura. There, we hooked a shark on a Rapala lure. After an exciting fight, the shark was safely brought alongside the boat and released in healthy condition. Following the release, we began our return toward Cabo. About 10 minutes later, a mahi mahi aggressively struck a ballyhoo rigged bait (rigger bait). The fish was successfully landed, providing the day’s final catch. We then returned to Cabo San Lucas Marina with a successful catch despite the changing water conditions. ⸻ Conditions: * Green water around the 95 Spot * Better conditions toward La Herradura * Calm trolling conditions * Productive bait activity on the return run ⸻ Summary: A productive offshore trip featuring: * 1 mahi mahi (dorado) landed * 1 shark caught and safely released A great example of adapting to changing ocean conditions, resulting in a successful day on the water with quality catches in Cabo’s offshore fishery. ?????

On the afternoon of June 28, we headed toward the 95 Spot, working approximately 6 miles offshore off Cabeza de Ballena. Early in the trip, we spotted a striped marlin tailing on the surface. We pitched a live horse mackerel (caballito) several times, and after multiple presentations, the marlin finally committed. Following an exciting fight, we successfully brought the fish alongside the boat and released it in healthy condition. We continued working the same productive area, moving slightly closer to shore. Approximately 4 miles off Santa María, we found another tailing striped marlin. Once again, we presented a live caballito, and after a perfect bait presentation, the fish struck. It was successfully fought and safely released. We stayed in the area, making additional passes, and encountered another tailing marlin, but despite several live bait presentations, this fish refused to bite. As the sun began to set, we returned to Cabo San Lucas Marina after an outstanding afternoon of sight-fishing. ⸻ Conditions: * Excellent Golden Hour conditions * Clean blue water between Cabeza de Ballena and Santa María * Multiple striped marlin actively tailing on the surface * Ideal conditions for live bait sight-fishing ⸻ Summary: An exceptional afternoon offshore trip featuring: * 2 striped marlin caught and released * 1 additional striped marlin sighted * Multiple successful live bait presentations using caballito A textbook Golden Hour marlin trip, with incredible sight-fishing opportunities and two successful catch-and-release striped marlin, showcasing the world-class billfish fishery of Cabo San Lucas. ????

On the afternoon of June 27, we headed south, reaching approximately 6 miles offshore, where we located a large pod of dolphins actively feeding alongside schools of yellowfin tuna. Throughout the area, we watched tuna crashing bait and feeding aggressively on the surface. After nearly two hours of working the school, patience finally paid off when a yellowfin tuna struck our rigged dead bait (rigger bait). The fish put up an incredible fight, taking the anglers on a 45-minute battle before we were finally able to bring it alongside the boat. During the final moments of the fight, the tuna was bitten by a shark, adding even more excitement to an already unforgettable catch. With the tuna successfully landed, we made our way back to Cabo San Lucas Marina. ⸻ Conditions: * Active dolphin and yellowfin tuna schools * Excellent offshore water conditions * Strong surface feeding activity * Long, challenging fight with a quality tuna ⸻ Summary: A memorable afternoon offshore trip featuring: * 1 yellowfin tuna landed * 45-minute fight * Shark bite during the landing * Large schools of feeding tuna and dolphins located offshore An exciting afternoon that showcased the thrill of Cabo’s offshore tuna fishery, rewarding patience and persistence with a hard-fought yellowfin tuna. ?????
