Marlin & Sailfish Double Release – Pacific Billfish Action (August 26) Description On August 26, ADRENALINA 1 headed to the Pacific side for an 8-hour offshore fishing trip, and it didn’t take long to find quality billfish action. While passing approximately 3 miles offshore from Barco Perdido, a striped marlin appeared behind our spread and began tracking a pink spread-bar teaser. The crew immediately switched the fish over to a Google Eye rigger bait. The marlin committed, took the bait, and after an exciting fight was successfully brought alongside the boat and released in excellent condition. We continued trolling along the Pacific coastline, and while fishing off El Suspiro, another billfish entered the spread. This time, a sailfish attacked the Google Eye rigger bait. After another exciting battle, we successfully brought the fish to the boat and completed our second successful release of the day. We continued working the Pacific side all the way toward San Cristóbal, where we turned around and began our return to Cabo San Lucas. The action wasn’t over. On the way back, while passing Los Arcos, another sailfish attacked the dead Google Eye rigger bait. The fish stayed connected for approximately five minutes, putting on an exciting fight before managing to throw the hook and escape. We returned to Cabo San Lucas Marina at approximately 2:10 PM, wrapping up an excellent eight-hour billfish adventure. Sailfish, Tuna & Wahoo – Offshore Triple-Species Day (August 24) Description On August 24, ADRENALINA 1 headed out for an 8-hour offshore fishing adventure, initially running on a 210° heading toward the Pacific side. We worked our way toward the Lighthouse, then changed course south until reaching approximately 5 miles offshore. From there, we began working parallel to the coastline before turning back toward Los Arcos. At approximately 3.5 miles offshore, the first major action of the day came around 10:00 AM, when a beautiful Pacific sailfish aggressively attacked a Google Eye rigged bait (rigger bait). After an exciting fight, we successfully brought the fish alongside the boat and released it in excellent condition. Immediately after the sailfish release, we changed course toward Margarita, where the action continued. A tuna struck a pink-and-white trolling feather, and after a solid fight, we successfully brought it aboard. With two species already accounted for, we began working our way back toward Cabo San Lucas. But the day wasn’t finished yet. On the return trip, while passing Los Arcos, a wahoo exploded on the Google Eye rigger bait. Known for their incredible speed and razor-sharp teeth, wahoo are always an exciting catch, and this one was successfully landed to complete an impressive three-species day. We returned to Cabo San Lucas Marina at approximately 3:40 PM with a tuna and wahoo aboard and a successfully released sailfish. Double Striped Marlin Release – Four Marlin Strikes Aboard ADRENALINA 2.0 (August 24) Description On August 24, ADRENALINA 2.0 departed Cabo San Lucas at 6:30 AM with five anglers, Captain Rubén López, and mate Luis, heading toward La Herradura. At approximately 2 miles offshore, we deployed a complete billfish trolling spread: short Petrolero and Tigrillo lures, long Flying Fish and Guacamayo lures, a long dead caballito, a short rigged ballyhoo, a small lime-green feather, and two teasers. We had barely covered half a mile when the first striped marlin appeared. The fish attacked the long dead caballito five times, but never fully committed to the bait. We circled the area twice hoping to raise the fish again, but it disappeared. We then changed course toward Cerro Colorado, reaching the waters off Primeras Piedras before turning back toward the area where we had experienced the first marlin activity. The decision paid off. While passing approximately 2 miles off the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas, another striped marlin attacked the spread. This time we achieved a solid hookup, fought the fish successfully, and brought it alongside the boat for a safe release. We continued toward the Lighthouse, and while trolling off Solmar Beach, another marlin entered the spread. The second hookup was also successful, resulting in our second striped marlin caught and released of the morning. With two marlin releases already completed, the guests asked to switch gears and look for mahi mahi (dorado). We changed the trolling spread to five feathers and two natural baits and moved much closer to shore, working approximately half a mile off the coastline. While passing Arroyo Sucio, another striped marlin suddenly appeared behind one of our teasers. The fish switched from one teaser to the other before we positioned a bait directly in front of it. The marlin attacked the bait twice, but unfortunately never hooked up. At approximately 10:00 AM, the guests requested another 30 minutes of fishing before heading back. We returned to Cabo San Lucas Marina and were back at our slip by approximately 11:00 AM. Fishing Strategy * Boat: ADRENALINA 2.0 * Captain: Rubén López * Mate: Luis * Departure: 6:30 AM * 5 anglers * Route toward La Herradura, Primeras Piedras, Los Arcos, Solmar Beach and the Lighthouse * Petrolero, Tigrillo, Flying Fish and Guacamayo trolling lures * Dead caballito * Rigged ballyhoo * Lime-green feather * Two teasers * Later switched to five feathers and two natural baits while targeting dorado Summary * ? 4 striped marlin encounters/strikes * ? 2 striped marlin caught and successfully released * ? 2 additional striped marlin raised but not hooked * ? First marlin attacked the caballito five times * ? Final marlin switched between both teasers and attacked the presented bait twice * ? Most of the marlin action occurred only 0.5–2 miles offshore * ? ADRENALINA 2.0 An outstanding morning of technical billfish fishing aboard ADRENALINA 2.0. Four different striped marlin came into the spread, two were successfully caught and released, and the crew continually adjusted lures, baits, teasers, and fishing areas to keep the action going. An excellent example of the quality striped marlin fishing currently taking place close to Cabo San Lucas. ????

Wahoo & Striped Marlin Success – 8-Hour Offshore Trip (August 18) On August 18, ADRENALINA 2.0, captained by Rubén López, departed Cabo San Lucas at 6:05 AM for an 8-hour offshore fishing charter with two anglers and two crew members. We headed toward San Jaime and, approximately 3 miles offshore, deployed our full trolling spread: short Petrolero and Tigrillo lures, long Chihuili and Flying Fish lures, a short purple feather, a long dead caballito, and two teasers. We initially worked our way out to approximately 7 miles offshore. After receiving a report of better activity closer to shore near the Rancho area, we adjusted our strategy and moved back toward the 4-mile line. As conditions changed, so did our spread. We replaced the long lures with Guacamayo and Chivatito patterns and switched to fresher caballito baits, running them in both short and long positions. The adjustment paid off. While trolling approximately 2 miles offshore near Los Arcos, something first attacked the short bait and immediately afterward struck the short Petrolero lure. After an exciting fight, we successfully brought a beautiful wahoo aboard. We continued trolling toward the Antennas before beginning our return farther offshore, working approximately the 5-mile line. Near Cerro de Arena, we encountered promising striped marlin activity. Several boats in the area were successfully pitching live bait to marlin, so we worked the zone and made several passes, but initially couldn’t convince one to bite. Later, near the Rancho area, Captain Rubén spotted frigate birds circling overhead, a classic sign of feeding activity below. We moved into the area, and the decision paid off when a beautiful striped marlin attacked our long dead bait. After an exciting battle, the marlin was successfully brought alongside ADRENALINA 2.0. The guests took photos with their trophy before the fish was safely released. We returned to Cabo San Lucas Marina at approximately 2:00 PM, completing an excellent eight-hour day on the water. Fishing Strategy * 8-hour charter: 6:05 AM – 2:00 PM * Route toward San Jaime * Worked approximately 2–7 miles offshore * Petrolero, Tigrillo, Chihuili, Flying Fish, Guacamayo and Chivatito lures * Purple trolling feather * Dead caballito * Two teasers * Strategy adjusted throughout the trip based on fishing reports, bird activity and marlin sightings Summary * ? 1 wahoo landed * ? 1 striped marlin caught and released * ? Wahoo caught on a short Petrolero lure * ? Striped marlin caught on a long dead caballito * ? Frigate birds helped locate productive marlin activity * ? 8 hours aboard ADRENALINA 2.0 * ?‍✈️ Captain Rubén López A great example of technical offshore fishing in Cabo San Lucas. By continuously adjusting the trolling spread, changing distances from shore and reading the activity on the water, the crew turned the day into an excellent wahoo and striped marlin combination, capped off with a successful marlin release.

On the afternoon of August 7, ADRENALINA 1 departed Cabo San Lucas for a 5-hour fishing charter, heading toward the Pacific side. We worked approximately 3 miles off the coastline, trolling all the way toward San Cristóbal before turning around and beginning our return to Cabo. During the return run, while fishing off Barco Perdido, the action finally came when a striped marlin aggressively attacked our rigged bait (rigger bait). After an exciting fight, the crew successfully brought the marlin to the boat, making it the trophy catch of the afternoon. We then headed back to Cabo San Lucas Marina with another successful billfish trip aboard ADRENALINA 1. Conditions & Strategy: * 5-hour afternoon charter * Pacific-side fishing * Worked approximately 3 miles offshore * Route extended to San Cristóbal * Striped marlin caught off Barco Perdido * Successful strike on rigger bait Summary: * ? 1 striped marlin caught * ? On the morning of August 6, ADRENALINA 1 departed Cabo San Lucas for an 8-hour fishing charter, heading toward the Pacific side in search of yellowfin tuna. Early in the trip, we located an impressive school of yellowfin tuna, with fish estimated in the 80–120 lb range actively showing on the surface. For nearly three hours, we worked the school using several different techniques and presentations, including Hoochies, live bait with 60 lb fluorocarbon leaders, trolling lures, and feathers in multiple colors and sizes. Despite seeing quality tuna throughout the area, the fish were extremely selective and refused every presentation. After giving the tuna a solid effort, we changed our strategy and began searching for mahi mahi and marlin, heading toward the waters near the Lighthouse. With no strikes on the troll, we switched techniques again and tried bottom fishing, successfully landing a triggerfish. After approximately 40 minutes of bottom fishing, we returned to trolling and deployed pink, Flying Fish blue-and-white, and lime-green Hoochies. The change immediately produced action, resulting in six skipjack tuna, all of which were successfully caught and released. We then headed back to Cabo San Lucas Marina after a full eight hours of fishing and several different techniques on the water. Conditions & Techniques: * Large yellowfin tuna schools located on the Pacific side * Yellowfin estimated at 80–120 lbs * Live bait with 60 lb fluorocarbon leader * Hoochies, trolling lures and feathers * Bottom fishing near the Lighthouse * Multiple strategy changes throughout the trip Summary: * ? 80–120 lb yellowfin tuna observed * ? 3 hours targeting yellowfin tuna * ? 6 skipjack tuna caught and released * ? 1 triggerfish landed * ? 8-hour charter aboard ADRENALINA 1 The trophy yellowfin were there and showing themselves, but they were extremely selective today. Even after trying multiple techniques, they refused to cooperate. By adapting our strategy throughout the trip, we still found steady action with skipjack tuna and bottom fishing—a true example of the persistence and versatility required in offshore sportfishing.
