I started HI-TECH Charters in 2001 after years of fishing Lake Michigan. 2025 was my 25th year as a guide, and I love it just as much as the first year. Lake Michigan is something you have to experience at least once, and it will likely be the first of many days on the lake. It's addictive and once you've caught your first king salmon you're hooked.

Jeff Briess5.0Definitely Impressed
Afternoon/Evening 6 Hour TripWe couldn’t have been happier with our trip with captain Bryan and Mysti. The boat was clean, and very comfortable. We were especially grateful that they had a heated cabin since the lake was pretty cold. We caught a variety of fish and had more than enough fillets to share with our friends and neighbors. I would highly recommend them and we will definitely be back again next year.

King salmon bite is PHENOMENAL !!!
avg 6, 2026 • Sheboygan
August and September are peak months for Chinook, (aka King Salmon). And this season is shaping up to be a fantastic year! Great numbers of kings have been coming in for both mornings and evenings. Other than the occasional slow day due to weather, I would expect that fishing will remain great throughout Aug and September.

There’s still plenty of time to get in on the action. The past few days the coho and rainbow fishing has remained strong, with a few kings (chinook) starting to show up in the mix.

Another successful morning!!! Kings to start the morning, then rainbows and lake trout to finish off the morning. We still have plenty of dates open, and fishing should remain good throughout the season.
