FishingBooker has built a successful mechanism for driving business to captains from all around the world. There are more than 2,000 partners we book on a weekly basis without any in-person presence. We’re looking for an experienced and self-driven Destination Manager to drive the performance and success of vendors in South Florida (Miami to Key West), and to build meaningful relationships with them.

Your responsibilities:

  • Owning your destination and its key performance metrics including;

    • Revenue Growth

    • Product Inventory

    • Product optimization and quality

    • Realization Rate

    • Vendor NPS

  • Responsible for bringing new vendors (captains, guides, lodges) to the FishingBooker platform, onboarding them, and helping them successfully turn bookings into fishing trips.

  • Identify and lead strategic deals with top partners from your region. From idea generation to implementation and project management to success tracking and reporting.

    • Example: Closing deals with a chain of tackle shops to use FishingBooker as their go-to booking system in exchange for an affiliate commission.

  • Track and report on tourism trends and competition in South FloridaStakeholder in internal initiatives as the expert in your region, working closely with teams including product, marketing, customer happiness, legal, etc.

  • A constant presence in the field; experiencing fishing trips in order to discover customer pain points and implement solutions to improve customer experience in your destination(s).

  • Down the road: develop a team of localized Account Managers, manage them and ensure team goals are achieved.

Your profile

  • 4+ years in tours & activities required

  • 2+ years of B2B sales, e-commerce or travel tech experience a plus

  • Travel expectation:

    • be prepared to travel a few times per year to different states and stay between 7 and 15 days.

  • You enjoy overcoming obstacles, identifying creative solutions, a natural problem-solver 

  • Business acumen and a holistic approach and the ability to grow your region and make the right data-driven priorities.

  • Networking and building rapport with suppliers in your region is something you enjoy 

  • Confident, approachable, an independent self-starter, good organizational skills

  • Enjoys working Independently, is creative, strategic, love thinking outside the box

  • Excellent and natural ability to establish and build great business relationships with vendors

  • An efficient and clear communicator

  • Result-focused, self-driven, team player 

  • A positive “can-do” attitude and a strong moral compass

  • Knowledge of the South Florida tourism market and its vendors is a plus

Pay

  • Contract: you would be hired initially on a 3-month contract. 

  • Onboarding: there will be a 2-week onboarding period in Belgrade, Serbia so you can learn the ins and outs of the business. 

    • Note: accommodation, flights (economy), equipment, etc will be taken care of.

  • Compensation: $6,250 gross per month.

  • Expenses: travel costs will be reimbursed.

Expected outcome (after the trial):

  • Successfully executed 300 account reviews in South Florida and (maybe) other states(s). Acquired 25 Captains from new markets.

  • Has strong knowledge of the following features/functionalities: Instant Book, Advance Notice, Calendar, and Calendar Sync. XYZ.
