Partner Content Specialists are FishingBooker’s captain makeover artists. They work closely with fishing businesses to create Search Engine and angler-friendly listings that make people want to book a fishing trip!

As a Partner Content Specialist, you will be in charge of keeping the listings on FishingBooker.com accurate, attractive, and SEO friendly. As well as writing descriptions for charter listings, the role involves research and photo editing to ensure the quality of our offer.
 
We are looking for enthusiastic new teammates who are excited by the opportunity to tell our partners’ stories through unique and individual copy. They must have a passion for writing and a business mindset. Being flexible and able to adapt quickly to the ever-changing environment of an e-commerce travel startup is also a must. 
 
All content writers at FishingBooker start as Partner Content Specialists. This is because the job gives you the basis to learn about our business. As you develop and grow in your role, you may contribute to the company through various content writing initiatives. We want you to grasp the chance to do so with both hands!  

Responsibilities:

  • Create, review, and continually improve content – photos as well as text – that accurately reflects our partners (fishing guides) and their businesses on FishingBooker.com.
  • Independently write intelligent, interesting, and SEO-friendly web copy in native English.
  • Source, edit, and arrange photos to get the most out of each listing.
  • Know FishingBooker’s product inside-out to ensure the captains you work with can get the most out of it and be marketed effectively.
  • Develop a deep understanding of fishing styles, species, and techniques worldwide. You don’t need to know about fishing before you start, but once you’re on board you will be the person to turn to for everything related to the underwater world.

Requirements:

  • Native or C2 level fluency in spoken and written English (English as a first language is preferred).
  • Considerable prior experience of writing texts independently and in English. We're looking forward to seeing examples of your work!
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated team player.
  • Extremely good research skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

It’s a plus:

  • If you have experience in using basic photo-editing software .
  • If you have experience of writing promotional content for the web in English.
  • If you have a strong understanding of SEO.
  • If you have prior experience in a customer-facing role.
  • A degree in Humanities, Journalism, Business, or a similar field is highly desirable.
