Bite Me Fishing Charters operates out of beautiful St. Augustine, Florida. Captain Dale enjoys teaching people who have never fished the area and giving them the experience of a lifetime catching fish in the area of Northeast Florida. From the reel screaming drag of offshore trolling to bait busting Redfish inshore, he offers it all and will certainly do everything possible to make your trip the best it can be.

As a lifelong resident of St. Augustine, Captain Dale grew up fishing the waters in and around the area. Having been a firefighter for over 25 years, he has had plenty of time to hone his skills on the water. He decided it was time to become a charter captain as he looks forward to retirement from the fire service.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 24’ Tidewater Baymax with room for 4 guests. She’s powered by a 200 HP Yamaha four stroke and will get you to the fishing spots at 40 MPH. She has all the electronics to find the best spots and has a Minn Kota i-Pilot trolling motor to serve as an anchor or cruise you through the creeks.

Trips are 4–6 hours and will target species depending on the time of year. Kingfish, Cobia, Amberjack, Tarpon, and Snapper are on fire in the summer months along the coast and are sure to be stripping your drag.

The captain will provide your fishing equipment and licenses. If you’re interested in bowfishing, note that this is available only on an offshore trip. Contact the captain for more details in advance. You should bring your own food and drinks – there’s a cooler on the boat to keep them fresh and cold.

Amazing experience

My son, son in law, and myself set out on a 4 hr off shore fishing trip with Bite Me charter. From the moment we stepped on the boat to the end we encountered 2 very professional and knowledgeable fishermen. We stayed in St Augustine recently on a family vacation and wanted to do something different and exciting as we have never fished the ocean before. I am so thrilled that we choose Bite Me charters. Captain Dale and his pal Paul were fabulous. We caught bait fish in the first 5 minutes of our journey..it was way cool watching them accomplish this. We got onto fish immediately and we wish we had more time with these fine gentlemen. You have nothing to fear by choosing this outfit. 5 stars, without a question. Thank you again Captain and Paul. We hope to see you again on our next Florida journey.

Slow but productive day

We had a slow day but the captain was able to get us a few keepers. Fish were cleaned a bagged when were done for the day.

My family and I had and absolute wonderful time on the charter today. Capt Dale and John made sure my wife and son had the best experience possible as we limited out on Kings and some of the biggest fish anyone could ask for. A true family oriented trip with two great gentlemen. We will definitely be back with Bite Me Charters again. Highly recommended.

If you want to keep some fish, it seems like an almost lock that you will catch some good eaters 9 miles out. 
However, if your like me and just like to catch fish and Love fighting hard fighting fish, I’d recommend just ask him to take you to the shrimp boats and catch bull sharks and black tips. That was crazy fun, and next time I’ll be trying to sign up for a half day of chasing shrimp boats with the captain if they’re around that day. 
Great bite from kings and barracuda. They were tearing our baits up every ~8 minutes. Not all were getting the hook up, but you could see the slashes in the ones that hit but didn’t hook up.
