Antigua and Barbuda might be nicknamed the “land of 365 beaches”, but these islands deserve to be known for their plentiful fishing opportunities, too! Come aboard Overdraft charters and join Captain Frank Hart for a world-class deep-sea angling adventure that you won’t forget.
Capt. Frank is a native Antiguan, so you’ll get to experience this fantastic fishery through the eyes of a true local. He has over 50 years of angling under his belt, and some serious bragging rights, too. He tagged and released the most Marlin in this area in 2007, and won the Antigua and Barbuda Marlin Classic for the Overdraft in 2012. Who could be better to introduce you to these bountiful waters?
Speaking of the Overdraft, she’s a 40’ Fiberpol offshore sportfishing vessel that can comfortably accommodate up to 6 anglers. Equipped with the latest navigational gear, she’s perfect for getting to you the hottest nearshore and offshore fishing spots. Your captain will also provide life jackets for all ages. There’s a full toilet on board, so you’ll be cruising these waters in plenty of comfort. Onboard, you’ll also find outriggers for maximum trolling. Get ready to reel ‘em in!
As for the species you’ll be targeting, the waters around Antigua and Barbuda really shine when it comes to big game fish. Capt. Frank will have you trolling 10-15 minutes after leaving the dock, and you can expect to reel in hard-fighters such as Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Wahoo, and plenty more. Blue Marlin are tag and release here – it’s only fair that other anglers get the chance to battle them, too!
Your trip includes top-quality rods and reels, and you’ll be catching your own live bait. A first mate will be on hand to help with whatever you need – tips are always appreciated. Come aboard Overboard charters and get ready to experience a whole other side of these beautiful islands!
