Conveniently located at the Catamaran Marina, Falmouth, they are ideally positioned to access the deep blue waters to the south and east of the island. 'Obsession' is a 45 ft Hatteras Convertible built by one of the USA's most reputable companies. It is powered by two 375 HP Detroit Diesel engines, giving it a fast and reliable ride. Featuring Rupp Outriggers and an International fighting chair, it will you you the very best sportfishing experience, and with the very latest electronics on board, you can be sure to be in the best position to find fish. Inside, the boat is fully air conditioned and is equipped with a variety of amenities to ensure a comfortable and luxurious trip.
Obsession was the first boat on Antigua to catch all five billfish species that inhabit the local waters, hooking up Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Swordfish, Sailfish and Spearfish over the years. They also frequently catch Wahoo, Tuna, King Mackerel and Mahi Mahi (Dolphin). Using Alutecnos reels and custom rods from 20-80 lbs, they offer you the chance to fish for game fish like a pro. You will mainly be fishing with Iland Lures with Ballyhoo to attract the biggest game fish in the local waters.

As an I.G.F.A Ambassador Captain, he is proven to have both expertise and knowledge about sportfishing as well as a good reputation among other qualified captains. Derek and James were awesome and worked hard the entire trip to keep us on the fish. Great boat, great crew, and an overall excellent experience. I would highly recommend Obsession to anyone looking for a fishing charter in Antigua.

Full Day Trip on January 18, 2026 • 4 adultsCaptain Derek and Mate James are experienced and professional! Our day was a challenging windy day with rough seas. Our group is sea worthy and rough seas doesn’t deture us. The captain and mate worked hard all day, making by the hour decisions, changing bait, adjusting trolling depts and game time changes to trolling areas when the the lines went silent! Remember to recognize and undertand the elements of fishing on the ocean. Fish in the cooler is an result of experience and professionalism with proper equipment, gear and tackle combined with a little luck of the day!! In my 10 yrs of Deep Sea Sportfishing this Charter ranks at the top!!! We had fresh fish for dinner and took fish home!!! Thanks for a great day and experience!!

The charter operation canceled -5 days after the trip date.
The bite was fast and furious after six hours of nothing. Captain worked hard to put us on the fish. Not recommended for people unaccustomed to deep sea fishing conditions. (my wife had a hard time)

I fished when still in school, and after finishing college I received training from two of the best captains in St.Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands: 'Red' Bailey and 'Spike' Herbert. My first boat was the 'Obsession'. I got it in 1991 and in 2010 I added 'Double Header'. I have fished in the USA, Bahamas, Australia, Costa Rica and most of the Caribbean islands.
