Join Captain Butch, a local professional who has been mastering the waters in and around Daytona Beach all his life. Capt. Butch will guide you through the basics before you make your first cast. He is a knowledgeable guide, who can cater to all skill levels and ages. Fishingmagician Inshore Charter is family-friendly and great for beginners and experts
On your day out, you will be able to test yourself in spinning with light tackle for anything from Flounder, Snook, Speckled Trout, Ladyfish, Bluefish, and Redfish to Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, Jack Crevalle, and even Blacktip Shark. Capt. Butch can take you exploring the waters of Mosquito Lagoon, show you what nighttime fishing is all about, or just put you on top of a morning bite.
All the magic happens aboard the ‘Fishingmagician’, a 24’ Skeeter Bay. She was built in 2015 with comfort and style in mind and comes powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine. The Fishingmagician has plenty of room for up to 2 anglers and is outfitted with everything you need to make a great catch possible.
A trip with Capt. Butch comes with the use of rods, reels, and tackle by Penn and Shimano, as well as lures, all the needed fishing licenses, and a complimentary fish cleaning service.

Great trip
We had a great trip. Capt Butch had us catching fish. If we got to a spot where they weren’t biting, we moved to another one. He was very helpful to us and gave tips to help catch. He was very patient. I would recommend this trip! Thanks Capt Butch for a fun time!

5 Hour Trip - Inshore (AM)
Half day inner coastal with captain butch.
We booked for 3 fisherman and his boat was perfect for us and his gear was top notch! We were on fish as soon as the shrimp hit the water. Dolphins were messing with the fish a bit so we moved onto another location. Boom on the fish again! Butch knows his stuff and was more than helpful in every situation. Conversation kept the day going great in between bites. Butch would be able to entertain any age or skill level with ease. I am actually looking at dates to bring my 4 year old down to fish with him.....and we live in Illinois! Boat was in perfect shape, tackle was plentiful, and bait picked for the day worked great. If you can please book with Butch, he was great for us and am positive he will be great for you.

A great day of fishing
This was me and my dad’s first inshore charter and we will be back. Captain Butch was very knowledgeable by giving us tips and tricks to catch as many fish as possible. He was always ready to bait our hooks to ensure our lines were always in the water. We caught a large variety of fish like reds, trout, snook, etc. We will be booking again with captain Butch for the great memories and an awesome inshore fishing experience!

We had a great day with Fishin Magician!
We had a terrific time fishing with Captain Butch of Fishin Magician! Butch had us on fish all morning long. We used over 100 live shrimp and caught snook, redfish, bluefish, snapper, jacks, and several other species. Butch was very patient and helpful. He has a big, fast, and comfortable bay boat. We saw loads of sea birds, dolphins, and numerous sea turtles. We even stopped for a bit and freed a brown pelican that was badly wrapped up in some old braided fishing line. It was a wonderful day and the highlight of our trip to Volusia County, FL.

It's Called Fishing, Not Catching!
To start, I'm 66 years old and I've been fishing for one thing or another all my life. I have my own bass boat. I've been out on a lot of charters over the years for lot' of different fish species, as far away as Alaska. Here's what I know for certain. Once in a blue moon it doesn't matter what you do the fish almost jump in the boat (or creel) like the time in 2000 when a friend and I caught 128 Brook Trout in three hours; and once in a blue no matter what you do, the fish just aren't going to cooperate. We went out with Captain Butch on February, 25th. We fished the intracoastal waterway. Before we set off Butch said something along the lines of between the weather and the time of year we'd fish for whatever we could find (not a direct quote). I thought "Oh Boy, what's this going to be?" Well, let me tell you Butch is a great guy to go out with and I mean that. He worked hard at it running us all over that waterway in the quest for fish. We had booked four hours and my wife decided to call it a day when we were crowding six hours. I honestly believe Butch would have stayed out with us as long as we wanted to fish that day. When it was all over we had caught a hodge podge of small fish including three very small bonnet head sharks, a small weakfish, a few small catfish, two small Snook, and one keeper Redfish. We hooked and fought a couple 3-4 foot sharks but they cut the line when they got close to the boat. Some things I really liked: Butch has an immaculate, uncluttered 24 ft open deck "bass boat style" boat which is perfect for inshore fishing. He also uses light tackle which I loved. I've been out on some charters where the rods were more like broom handles than fishing rods. And, he actually let you fish - he left me pretty much on my own (which I liked) and he helped my wife with casting (which she needed). Captain Butch is a super personable guy who's enjoyable to be with. He worked really hard to put us on some good fish but if you fish, then you know, some days they just aren't biting which was the case that day. In a heartbeat I'd go out with Captain Butch again.
