Fish Dauntless is based out of Islamorada, in the heart of the Florida Keys. Capt. Jim has been fishing in South Florida since before he could walk and has spent his entire adult life building up the skills needed to get you on that fish of a lifetime.
The “Dauntless” is a 27’ Conch center console with room aboard for up to four anglers. She is equipped with GPS and fishfinder to track down the best battles, and a livewell full of fresh bait to make sure nothing can resist your hooks. She also has a T-top to keep the sun of you and your group, making her perfect for family groups.
You have a huge range of trips and options to choose from, ranging from four-hour stints to eleven-hour marathons. Shorter trips focus on the local reefs or inshore gamefish like Tarpon. Reef fishing in the Keys is an amazing way to fill the boat with colorful, tasty fish, and nothing beats the sight of the Silver King on the end of your line.
Unless you head to the bluewaters, that is. On longer trips, you can target Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, and if you stay out long enough, even Swordfish. This is some of the most intense sportfishing you could ever ask for, and even seasoned pros are put to the test by the awesome fighting power of South Florida’s Billfish.
Capt. Jim will adapt each trip to your skill and interests. If you want to load up on delicious fish, he will make it happen. After that one monster or a specific species, he’ll switch things up to do just that. He has worked alongside some legendary captains in the past and is always happy to pass on the skills he has learned. Whatever he can do to make your trip more special, he’ll do with the smile of a man who really, really loves his job.
