PV Hook Up operates a fleet of boats out of Puerto Vallarta, each offering a variety of trip options, both inshore and offshore. Trips range from four to 12 hours, targeting species as diverse as Roosterfish, African Pompano, Tuna, and Marlin. Add in a tournament-winning crew and world-class equipment, and you get a fishing experience like no other.
You can learn all you need to know about the Magnifico by her name. This 31’ Bertram is one of the most well-known vessels in Puerto Vallarta, with a reputation as “the place to be” for serious sport fishers. She was completely restored in 2009, and now has everything you will need for a world class angling experience.
The Magnifico has a full battery of electronics to get you on the best spots, and twin 250HP Cummins engines to get you there at speed. Once in place, her outriggers and downriggers will let you target the widest range of species possible, while her fighting chair and Tuna tubes give you the upper hand in even the fiercest of bluewater battles.
She isn’t all business, however. The Magnifico also boasts a spacious deck with a convertible top, so you can enjoy as much (or as little) of the sun as you like. Step below deck, and you will find a comfortable interior, with a full head, cabin, and plenty of space to relax after hard-fought hook-ups on deck.
Depending on the trip you choose, you could be inside the Banderas Bay, or up to 50 miles offshore in famous spots from El Morro to El Banco. In the bay, you can spend the day fighting hardy game species like Jacks and Roosterfish, as well as tasty table favorites like Mackerel, Bonita, Grouper, and Snapper.
But offshore is where the real action is! Wahoo, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Blue, Black, and Striped Marlin - you name it, and the PV Hook Up team will find it! The crew have won numerous Billfish and Tuna tournaments in the Puerto Vallarta area, and know exactly how and where to drop the lines to have you on that fish of a lifetime!
