+31The island of Roatan is situated smack-dab between Honduras and the deeper waters of the Carribean Sea, allowing for amazing offshore fishing right off the coast. RoaTide takes full advantage of that and invites you to join them on an exciting fishing adventure that only an island as bountiful as Roatan can offer!
Climb aboard their 23’ Bayliner center console, fitted with a bimini top and perfectly suited for the diverse waters of the Caribbean Sea. She’s equipped to help anglers battle large sea predators, with downriggers to extend your reach when trolling and a live bait tank, to keep your bait alive and kicking. She can develop a maximum cruising speed of 50 knots, thanks to her Yamaha Enduro engine, providing 200 HP worth of thrust.
She can hold up to 6 anglers, with 4 being able to fish at any one time.
Your guide and instructor for this exciting fishing adventure will be Captain Lewis Gough. He’ll take you after a variety of gorgeous fish species that inhabit the area. You can head to a number of secret spots around the island where you will battle the famous Silver Kings, as well as Permits and Bonefish. Alternatively, you can head out into the blue, where you will be up against a wide array of species like Kingfish, Groupers, Amberjacks, Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Mutton Snappers, Wahoos, Blackfin Tunas, and Sailfish. Wherever you go Captain Lewis is ready to give you a hand so you have as much fun as possible on his trips!
Alternatively, if Captain Lewis isn’t available, another highly-qualified local captain will take his place and make sure your trips become excellent memories.
Children under the age of 10 are not allowed on board, the charter will provide life jackets in all sizes. Snacks and drinks are all provided and included in the price. The first mate will clean, fillet, and bag your catch – he works for tips exclusively so gratuity is greatly appreciated.

Best Fishing Trip in 20 years
Half Day Deep Sea Fishing 32' Panga on March 26, 2025
I had taken my kids and grandkids out in some great waters (Cabo, Nassau, and Cozmel) and got skunked 3 times in a row. I told Captain Lewis that my grandkids were loosing interest, and they just wanted to catch fish, I didn't care what kind. Capt. Lewis is a tournament fisherman, but also a dad. We started off by the mate using a cast net to catch live bait. The grandkids helped catch the fish that fell out of the net and put them in the live well. We then headed out to some deeper water. There were 5 of us and each of us caught at least 2 fish. The biggest were some toothy needle fish that were several feet long. They jumped in the air on the way in several times, making for an exciting catch. We also caught black fin tuna, and a bunch of jacks. Capt. Lewis took us to a local restaurant where they cooked up our catch for a reasonable price. I couldn't have asked for a better trip with my family, or a better captain and first mate. We will definitely look them up if / when we get back to Roatan.

Unforgettable Fishing Adventure in Roatan: Great Catch and Amazing Hospitality!

We had an amazing time on our fishing charter in Roatan, Honduras! After disembarking from our cruise ship, we were greeted by a friendly driver holding a sign right outside the gate. He was incredibly welcoming and gave us a great tour of the island on our way to the boat. Once we set out, the fishing was fantastic. We didn’t have to go far to start trolling and caught some awesome fish, including a blackfin tuna, blue runner, and a wahoo—what a catch! The crew was professional and made sure we were having a great time the whole way through. After the fishing, they took us to a floating restaurant where they cooked up our fresh catch while the kids enjoyed some snorkeling nearby. The whole experience was incredible, and the crew’s hospitality really made it special. Highly recommend this charter for anyone visiting Roatan!

Captain Lewis and first mate Jovi were best crew I ever had. they know how to make it an experience. after catching Wahoo and 6 black fin tuna in first twenty minutes my friends were feeling sick so the the crew pivoted and took us to swim with the sharks. Again this crew is the best you will not be disappointed!

We took the 4 hour trip in the morning. Our group caught 2 barracuda and black tip shark! Guides were great and so knowledgeable about the area, history, culture, and of course the fishing! Beautiful day on the water! Thanks guys! We had a blast!

Seriously, WOW!!!! First class experience with Roatide in Roatan!
3/4 Day Trip - Offshore on February 13, 2023
My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of spending today fishing with Captain Lewis and Keaton and HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking to book a fishing charter while in Roatan. We came in on Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas and were picked up by Javier (great driver!) who showed up holding a sign with our name. Captain Lewis ensured we knew where to go and how to meet our driver and we were able to easily walk off our ship and find our ride. My husband is an avid fisherman and together we have been fortunate to book charters in Mexico, Hawaii and several parts of Canada. The communication, level of customer service and attention to detail from Captain Lewis and Keaton were second to none. And in case you are wondering - you don’t have to be experienced to have an amazing time (My husband might be, but I’m not!) Comfort, Safety and Fun were top priority, we caught Black fin Tuna, and enormous Wahoo and Bonito - and then were brought back to shore where they filleted the catch and we were treated to an amazing lunch prepared at a local restaurant including our catch, fried plantains and rice and beans. We had some rain, but our fishing trip was heaven! Seriously, if you are coming into Roatan, reach out to Captain Lewis - if these guys are available BOOK THEM!!! If you don’t someone else will beat you to it! Thank you Captain Lewis and Keaton, we can’t wait to book another adventure with you!!
