Lone Star Charters invites you to spend a day with Capt. Ron and explore the beautiful waters of the Lower Laguna Madre. Whether you have the itch to fish or just want to have fun with your fishing rod, you have found the right place.
Put all the daily routine aside and hop onboard a 24' Shallow Sport bay boat. It was fully up hauled in 2017 and it comes powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine. This is a seaworthy vessel with plenty of space for up to 4 anglers and an array of professional accessories and electronics.
Capt. Ron is not only a professional guide but is also an avid tournament angler. He has won trophies throughout the Texas Gulf region and never stops mastering his cast. Ron is a passionate fisherman who knows the area like the back of his hand.
Your day out with Lone Star Charters will see you drifting the shallow waters that can be up to 3' deep. You will be fishing with both artificial and live bait, as well as trying anchored up fishing. The list of your potential catches will include Redfish, Seatrout, Black Drum, Flounder, and Sheepshead.
All trips come inclusive with rods, reels, lures, tackle, bait, and a complimentary fish cleaning service. You will also be provided with snacks and drinks. Licenses are not provided and need to be purchased before the trip.

Half Day Trip (AM) on June 10, 2022 • 4 adultsCaptain Ron was an excellent guide I used others in that past with not even close to good results mostly due to water conditions but even those days I saw the quarry captain Ron brought back so I booked with him this time and he did not disappoint we were 1 fish away from our limit on a 4 man trip he was very patient and helpful with my younger boys and told Mt older boys to get busy with it when they slacked off which was appreciated lol he will be the only captain I book with from now on thank you captain

Captain Ron will definitely take you to where the BIG FISH are, always be prepared if Dwight Yoakam is playing you are guaranteed to catch a BIG One! (We sure did!) This trip was the best and we will definitely do it again, Captain Ron made my husbands birthday one to always remember! We had such a great time from the second the trip started. The weather was beautiful and Ron made sure we were comfortable, safe and enjoying every minute. We traveled to a few locations and had catches at each. He even showed us a little around the island and gave some history. If you are trying to decide who to pick.....look no further Ron is your guy.

We faced really tough winds on the bay today. The fish were not where they were supposed to be but Capt. Ron never gave up the hunt and we came home with dinner.😎👏

Great day of fishing! First time in salt water. Set out from the island and ran across the bay to sand bar that had five or so boats on it. Capt. Ron set us up perfectly, gave good instruction, and I had my first trout in minutes. Had my limit about an hour later. While other boats are striking out and pushing off, we just kept catching them. Capt. Ron then took us on a tour of the bay cathing fish along the way. He is also a good DJ, so long as your favorite genres are country and western; Capt. Ron knows MOST of the words. Great fishing. Great company. Highly recommend.
