El Gato Especial Fishing offers exciting offshore and reef adventures targeting delicious table fish such as Grouper, Snapper, and Seabass out of the beautiful beach town of Puerto Peñasco.
Located deep in the Gulf of California only 50 miles from the USA border, this magical town offers everything you will need – beautiful beaches, warm sunny weather and, of course, awesome fishing.
You will be spending your day fishing aboard a 26' Sea Ray Laguna center console with ample room for up to 5 anglers. The boat has a small bathroom, and she cruises at 20 knots, getting you to the best spots speedily and safely.
The vessel comes equipped with all the essentials for a wonderful fishing trip, including the latest electronics and navigational equipment to get you fast on whatever you are fighting. It also has a livewell full to the brim with fresh live bait to tempt the very best catch.
El Gato Especial Fishing specializes in jigging and bottom fishing for your food favorites, heading out around 6 to 10 miles to fish for Grouper, Snapper, Seabass, Yellowtail and many other species.
As well as fishing, you can enjoy the time swimming, making the most of the beautiful weather and warm Sea of Cortes. There is no age limit when it comes to having kids on board and even dogs are welcome!

Puerto Peñasco with El Gato Fishing. Captain Jose was outstanding—very attentive to our needs and made sure everyone had a great experience. Between the five of us, we were catching fish nonstop, left and right, which made the trip exciting from start to finish.Everything was well run, fun, and professional. I would absolutely recommend El Gato Fishing to anyone looking for a memorable fishing adventure in Puerto Peñasco.

We caught a lot of fish. The captain was very helpful and patient with us. When we arrived we got right on the boat. Within 30 minutes we were catching fish. Great trip for our group because some of us are experienced and some first timers. Be ready for breezy conditions. Be on time and know you will pay before departure. Crew provides all the bate.

Captin Jose was great he got us right on the fish, when the bite slowed down he made sure to make a quick adjustment and move us to another area where the bite was super HOT when we got back to the harbor he cleaned our catch which was great I highly recommend El Gato Especial will definitely book when back in Rocky Point.

We did a 4 hour trip in the morning and had a great time! Our capitan/ fishing guide was great on getting us hooked on quick and relocating when the bite died. Ended up getting plenty of fish to take home. We even got bullied by a sea lion for a while! Super cool! Great for smaller group.
