El Gato Especial Fishing offers exciting offshore and reef adventures targeting delicious table fish such as Grouper, Snapper, and Seabass out of the beautiful beach town of Puerto Peñasco.
Located deep in the Gulf of California only 50 miles from the USA border, this magical town offers everything you will need – beautiful beaches, warm sunny weather and, of course, awesome fishing.
You will be spending your day fishing aboard a 26’ Sea Ray Laguna center console with ample room for up to 5 anglers. The boat has a small bathroom, and she cruises at 20 knots, getting you to the best spots speedily and safely.
The vessel comes equipped with all the essentials for a wonderful fishing trip, including the latest electronics and navigational equipment to get you fast on whatever you are fighting. It also has a livewell full to the brim with fresh live bait to tempt the very best catch.
El Gato Especial Fishing specializes in jigging and bottom fishing for your food favorites, heading out around 6 to 10 miles to fish for Grouper, Snapper, Seabass, Yellowtail and many other species.
As well as fishing, you can enjoy the time swimming, making the most of the beautiful weather and warm Sea of Cortes. There is no age limit when it comes to having kids on board and even dogs are welcome!
All El Gato Especial Fishing trips come with tackle, bait, drinks, and licenses, so all you need to bring is a good attitude.

Half Day Trip - Local Fishing (AM)
Fun trip!
Great trip, exactly what we expected for a half day trip. Changed Locations several times to find the fish and finally found them. Captain was great and made sure our hooks were baited at all times.

Great experience
Family of 5, we have a great fun time. Caught several kind of species in such a short period. Jose is a great captain, assisted us and made sure we are enjoying the trip and all catching fish. Will definitely book with Jose again. My only recommendation would be less anglers due to the speed of the boat, but you won't be going out that deep anyway.

Half Day Trip - Local Fishing (AM)
A great time on the water.
Went for 1/2 day bottom fishing with El Gato Especial fishing. Everything went very well. We were greeted at the fishing charter area right on time and then introduced to our Captain who had the boat ready to go, equipped with baits, rods, water, sodas, and beers! Once on the water, we were able to catch a fair amount of fish ranging from triggerfish, black sea bass, and sea trout. Captain Jose knows the area very well as we went to about four different areas to keep catching fish! Once back in port, he filleted oud all our fishes. He was very pleasant and we joked about the size of some of our catches. I would recommend El Gato Especial Fishing and will not hesitate to book again next time we are in Puerto Penasco.

This was our second trip out with them and man let me tell you this trip was even better than the first and the first was a blast! This guy does not disappoint! I know they call It fishing and not catching but this captain knows his stuff! We saw other boats out but we were the only ones catching fish and nonstop! Always super friendly and takes care of everything for you. We will 100% always come back and book with them
