Got To Fish operates a 24' Blue Wave bay boat, which was built in 2015. This vessel comes powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine and can comfortably accommodate up to 4 anglers. It features modern GPS, fishfinder, and VHF radio to save your time while searching for the big one. There is also a wireless trolling motor for a quiet ride. All aboard!
Your main targeted species for the day will be Redfish, Flounder, Trout, Jack Crevalle, and Black Drum. All keeper fish will be cleaned and the end of the trip so that you could take it home and get your weekly dinners sorted out.
You will be provided with quality Penn gear, tackle, lures, and a lot of fish stories. Don't forget to pack your lunch with you if you want, along with anything you'd like to drink. Fishing licenses are also something you will need to purchase before the trip.
The local area has restaurants, gift shops, and bars, where you could relax after your fishing trip.

He put us on snapper, reds and trout. We limited out in 5 hours and came home with thr price of the guide in fresh fish. He cleaned them for us and took pictures for us. Full Day Trip on May 24, 2025 • 3 adultsI have fish since I was old enough to hold a rod, and I am no stranger to ensure saltwater fishing. Took my wife two daughters and son for a three day trip this past weekend and can’t say enough good things about Captain Jay. Hands down the best captain and shorter experience in my life. His knowledge of the waters and the Bayou are infinite, he knew exactly where the fish were at, and how to put us on them. We fished with him for three days and limited out every day. Red snapper redfish speckled trout, black drum, Spanish mackerel, flounder and even a sheep’s head in the mix, not to mention the occasional shark. My wife and kids had a lifetime experience and saw the real Louisiana Bayou.I would recommend him to anybody anytime without reservation. Thanks, Captain Jay for a once in a lifetime experience.

Full Day Trip on June 15, 2024 • 4 adults • 1 childJay was great from start to finish! We had our 2-boys 14 and 11 and they had the BEST day on the water. The boat was nice and clean and comfortable for us all to fish at the same time. Jay put us on reds at 3 different spots and limited out quick. We also caught black drum and sheep head as well. He let us still have fun and catch and release as long as we wanted. Which we ended catching about another 30 reds that we had to release back! My 14YO son caught a 22lb black drum! He was very personable, patient and fun! Thank you so much Jay for our most memorable family fishing trip! We can’t wait to come back and go out with you again! Such a fun trip!

Full Day Trip on September 3, 2023 • 3 adultsWe fish weekly in Crystal River, Florida. I booked a birthday trip to Venice LA for my husband. Not knowing who to book with, I booked our two days of fishing with two different charter companies. There is no question that Got to Fish charters was far superior. Jay was amazing! He asked questions about what we wanted to fish for, explaining how it would change the layout of the day, and LISTENED. He was so attentive and a true blessing with our elderly mother, helping her to both hook and to pull in her fish (44 in redfish), without taking over, allowing us to fish and to watch her make priceless memories. This made our day! In the end all three of us left with new personal best redfish. If you’re headed to Venice to fish, I would plan your trip around Captain Jay’s availability. Simply stated,Booking with anyone else would be a mistake. Thank you Jay! We have fishing stories to last a lifetime, and beautiful memories of mom that will always warm our hearts.

Caught 27 bull red fish first day and 28 bull red fish second . All over 37 inches. Captain Jay put us on fish. Great two days fishing.
