Louisiana Lagniappe Charters invites you down to the sprawling shallows of the Mississippi River Delta to explore the bayous and backwaters the area is known for. You also have the flexibility to fish different waterways around the New Orleans area depending on seasons and fishing reports.
Captain Scott Pelas will showcase the diverse fisheries the area is so blessed with. He will get you on Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, and more in this shallow water wonderland. When the weather permits, you can even bounce out to an oil rig to pick up some Red, Mangrove, and Vermilion Snappers.
Whatever you do, you’ll be in safe hands aboard Capt. Scott’s 24’ North Star center console. Built in 2016, the boat can carry six guests securely and in comfort. She has a trolling motor to let you navigate the skinny waters with ease and a livewell to keep your bait fighting .
Capt. Scott is here to make your trip is special, and he will go far above and beyond to do so. From arranging lodging on the water or in the city to preparing live bait for you ahead of the trip to save you valuable fishing time, he will do whatever he can to guarantee an enjoyable charter for you and your party.

Great experience with knowledgeable Captain

Capt Scott knows his craft and we enjoyed our time out on water he has a good boat and equipment. Ran into a parking lot at the oil rig, so capt switched the plan and took us straight to a great spot to drop and hook up on big red snappers and caught our limit in a short time. Afterwards we headed inshore and we did ok on finding the red fish. He gave some good fishing pointers and afterwards took us in and cleaned & fileted our catch. I will rebook with him in future and recommend him to anyone.

Family + perfect weather + awesome boat captain = One amazing day!! Captain Scott was wonderful. He worked tirelessly keeping our hooks baited, our snapped lines fixed, all while keeping up with our FISH ON calls!! We limited in less than 3 hours. We originally booked the on shore experience but he called us and said that the snapper would likely be our best bet. He was 100 percent on point! Captain Scott was amazing with our girls (ages 15, 12 and 10) and it was everything we hoped for and more. If you’re looking for a family trip, this is the one to book. We can’t wait to book again!

Full Day Trip - Inshore on October 18, 2025 • 2 adults
Caught our limit of redfish both days! First day was really good. Strong storms blew through Saturday night, so we weren’t sure about the fishing the next morning. Captain Scott put us right on them. We boated the limit of nice sized redfish plus we caught 8 more too large to keep. This was all in one spot. We had gotten our limit plus more within 2 hours. Would highly recommend Captain Scott!

Captain Scott was awesome, pleasant, professional, helpful. He knows where the fish are, caught our snapper limit in 2 hours, my arm is tired from reeling. Boat was immaculate and clean. Highest recommendations. We have been on 3 fishing booker trips, they have not disappointed. Venice was the best, kids and I fish somewhere every year.
