What an incredible experience with Y-Knot Charters! From the moment we booked, everything was first-class. Derek was incredibly responsive, answered every question promptly, and provided all the details we needed, making the booking process completely seamless. Captain Ack and Wesley were an outstanding team. Wesley expertly handled the navigation while Captain Ack orchestrated the entire fishing operation—from selecting the best fishing grounds and rigging the lines to choosing the right bait and making adjustments throughout the trip. It was obvious they knew these waters inside and out. We booked the morning half-day charter, departed right on time, and the action started almost immediately. Within the first 30 minutes we had a barracuda on the line, followed about 30 minutes later by a beautiful mahi-mahi. We landed another barracuda, and then, in the final hour, capped off the trip with an absolute monster wahoo! One of the highlights was how much Captain Ack shared along the way. He explained the purpose behind every rig, bait selection, and adjustment, turning the trip into both an exciting fishing adventure and a chance to learn from a true professional. His personality made the experience even better—engaging, funny, and genuinely passionate about what he does. The four hours flew by, and we left with incredible memories, great fish, and an even greater appreciation for the crew's skill and hospitality. If you're fishing in Curaçao, the Party Hooker with Capt. Ack and Wesley is the charter you book. These two are absolute pros — skilled, patient, and genuinely great humans who make the whole experience feel effortless and fun. They were amazing with our kids, keeping them involved, teaching them, and making sure they had the time of their lives. We reeled in a gorgeous tuna, and instead of just tossing them on ice, Ack and Wesley turned our catch into fresh sashimi and ceviche right on the boat. It was unreal — some of the freshest, most delicious fish we've ever tasted. We also caught a barracuda!!! The boat was spotless, well‑equipped, and the vibe was that perfect mix of relaxed and high‑energy. You can tell these guys love what they do. And for the record — we also learned that ballyhoo are the only fish that can see their own chin. 😆 If you want a charter that's professional, family‑friendly, and delivers a truly unforgettable Caribbean adventure, the Party Hooker is it.

We had an awesome deep sea fishing experience overall! We ended up landing a massive yellowfin tuna—around 40 kg—which was an absolute thrill and something we won't forget anytime soon. The captain and mate were fantastic: super knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly very experienced. They worked hard to get us on fish and made the whole trip smooth and enjoyable—easily a 10/10 for the crew. The only downside, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, was that we didn't get to keep any of the tuna. That was a bit disappointing, especially after such an incredible catch, and something we wish had been clearer upfront. That said, it was still an unforgettable experience, and we'd absolutely recommend this charter—just be sure to ask about the fish retention policy ahead of time!

Especially for my 7-year-old son, it was a day he'll never forget. From the moment we stepped aboard, everything felt relaxed, professional and above all, very enjoyable. The crew deserves high praise. They were friendly, patient and clearly experienced in working with both adults and children. My son was involved in everything, received explanations about the gear, the fish and how everything worked, and was encouraged in a fun and safe way. This made him feel like a real part of the adventure. You could tell from everything that they love what they do, and that positive energy radiates throughout the entire atmosphere on board. In terms of catch, it was also a great day: we caught no less than 7 fish! That obviously makes it extra fun, especially for a child. Every catch was enthusiastically celebrated and there was plenty of attention paid to what was caught. The tackle on board was of good quality and clearly well maintained, which gives you confidence, especially when you're out at sea with a young child. On top of that, everything worked in our favor: beautiful weather, calm seas and stunning views. It was truly one of those days when everything just clicks. No rush, no stress, just enjoying the sea, the fishing and each other's company. For us, this is definitely something we'll do again. My son still talks about it and is already asking when we can go back. If you're looking for a professional, fun and family-friendly fishing trip at sea with a great crew, good tackle and a high chance of a nice catch, then I can wholeheartedly recommend this company. They were very prompt in responding and picked me up right off the dock at Sandals where we were staying. I'd chosen a 3/4 day trip for myself (seas too choppy for my wife). Ack and Julian were the crew and they were a great tandem to fish with. As soon as we left the inlet by Sandals they were already working gear to try to land some live bait for bigger fish (e.g. we caught some skipjacks right out of the gate). One of the skipjacks got sheared in half as I reeled it in and showed what they said was a clear Wahoo strike. We caught a couple of small barracuda. Then a small Rainbow Runner that we quickly released. We then got a double hookup of Mahi Mahis. We picked the one we wanted to fight and got the leader to the boat, but before we could could pull it out for some pics, it's last ditch effort it threw the hook (tip of the cap to the fish:). We then caught a couple nicer barracudas that we kept. Also caught a couple small blackin tuna that made for some tasty sashimi:). We cruised out to and around Klein island which was cool scenery while fishing. And to their credit they continued fishing up until the last minute which is when the trip moved into the Epic class. As they started pulling in the line for the outriggers and calling it a day, we got a strong hit on a down line. That's when we reeled in the 40+ pound Wahoo! We were all fired up. Put on a pretty good show as we paraded the fish past the Sandals pool so my wife (and everybody else:) could see! When I hopefully come back to Curacao, I know who I hope to fish with…Ack and Julien on the Ynot!
