Operating out of Willemstad, Curacao, La Menta Boattrips offers professionally guided fishing trips. If you'd like to have the best experience exploring these deep waters, Captain Arnold Aarden and his crew will do everything to make that happen. Capt. Arnold is a passionate fisherman who's been in the business for over 14 years.
You'll be fishing from a 36' Pro Marine walkaround boat that can accommodate up to 6 anglers. The boat comes with air-conditioning, a restroom, a freshwater shower, a kitchen, and a tuna tower. But it's not all just about comfort. This fishing machine is powered by twin 440 HP Yanmar Diesel engines and features outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, a live bait tank, and ice-boxes.
The captain will show you his favorite spots where you'll get to target Sailfish, Marlin, Mahi, Barracuda, Wahoo, and an incredible variety of Tuna (Skipjack, Yellowfin, Albacore, and Blackfin). The best part is that there is no need to go more than 100 yards from the shore as the water gets deep pretty quickly. Also, if you'd like to extend your trip for half an hour, the captain will gladly stay a bit longer.
You'll be supplied with top-tier Penn fishing gear, lures, and licenses. Depending on the season, you'll get to catch your own live bait on the way – this is usually possible during winter and summer months.
The breakfast is provided on half days, while full day trips include lunch sandwiches. Snorkeling is also an option on full day trips, and the gear is provided, but kids are usually not recommended on longer trips.
The boat normally keeps the catch, but you'll get a portion for a nice dinner, and the crew will clean and fillet it for you. The captain can even recommend a great restaurant where you can have your catch prepared for a few bucks.

It was a slow day on the water, but Wendel and Robert work hard to try finding fish by using multiple techniques and trying different water depths. We did catch a couple Skipjack. Wendel offered us the fish. we said we would take one and tgey could have the other. Wendel then made us reservations at a resturant, where he would be dropping off our fish, for us to have gor lunch tomorrow. I recommend them if your wanting to get on the water to fish while in Curacao.

The Captain and crew were VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. WE CAUGHT YELLOW TUNA OVER 50LBS!! and I mustn't forget the caught and cook. Crew clean the fish and took to a restaurant where we ate..DELICIOUS! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

Our group had a wonderful time. We had three kids on board where it was their first time fishing. The crew made it a wonderful experience.

Captain Wendel and his crew were fantastic. Courteous and accommodating for everything we needed. We were more interested in eating some fish than catching trophies. Captain put us on several spots and helped us catch multiple fish including Mahi, Grouper, and Tuna. It was a very good day of fishing.
Booked the 4 hr morning trip with cpt Wendal and crew. 10 min in we were already hooked up. We hit the trifecta of fish ( Wahoo, Tuna (Yellow fin/Black fin) and Baracuda). The crew was amazing, constantly baiting lines and helping us with our catch including filleting the fish we brought home. Highly recommended for both novice and experienced fishermen.
