As a verified captain, Capt. Larry maintains all required credentials, licenses, permits, & commercial marine insurance (a million dollars!) to be entrusted with your safety and charter needs. Capt. Larry is a resident pro-staff guide out of the nationally-acclaimed World Wide Sportsman/Bass Pro Shop in Islamorada where you'll launch & is a USCG Master Captain, a respected member of the National Association of Charter Boat Operators, the Florida Guides Association, & the Florida Keys Fishing Guides Association.
Capt. Larry has the physicality necessary for outstanding control of his brand-new, latest-technology 2024, Challenger Edition Chittum Yachts skiff, whether spin or fly fishing (passionate about fly fishing!).
He also has an extremely large repertoire of spots to fish – which is essential when weather or fish behavior becomes unpredictable. He'll provide you with the very latest in top-quality high-tech equipment: boats, rods, reels, lures, & flies (he ties all of his own) – all of it!
Capt. Larry knows everything about fishing, from knots, hooks, & flies to placing the boat just right for your cast. Don't worry whether it is smarter to spend your day chasing Tarpon, Bonefish, or Permit, or whether other backcountry species present a better opportunity – he's got it all figured out! Whether it's spinning or fly fishing, he'll help you out with it no matter your skill level. There's no minimum age for children, the captain will need their ages & will provide you with all the PFDs required.

Larry did a great job of stayong positive and worked hard. He had plenty of spots to fish. I was picky—looking for permit on a fly rod—so focusing on that meant passing other opportunities. Larry knows his stuff and his boat in incredible! Best O have ever been on and I have foshed all over the Caribbean. The only thing that would have made this the “best trip ever” was landing a permit. Next time!
Yes, Jason had a singular tough target - one of the most difficult sportfish to catch let alone on fly! but that is the fun of it, an impressive challenge. He gets a lot of credit for sticking with his pursuit of a permit on fly.
Capt Larry quickly adapted to my son and my level of skill/desired fish and led us on a great fishing experience. You have a great day when you catch different types of fish and lose count of the catch. The bonefish was the ellusive catch of the day. Highly recommend!
Good experience. Shark eating the big blackdrums was something to remember!
I just wanted to share that I had a fantastic time fishing with Larry recently. We caught a variety of fish, and I truly loved being on the water. Larry is such a great guide - he really knows how to make the experience enjoyable!
Had an awesome time guiding Jade and her father Lloyd on their first guided charter and they did a great job, with Jade bringing in Snook, jumping a tarpon, and catching black drum and trout plus big jacks. Enjoyed guiding sister Brittny shown here with a juvenile tarpon.
