Eric Scoble Blackwater Charters
Eric Scoble’s Black Water Charters runs fishing trips around the flats, estuaries, and creeks of Islamorada, FL. These waters are filled with fish year-round. It’s fun, both for less experienced anglers and veteran fishermen.
Captain Eric Scoble Operates a 22 foot Skeeter powered by a 150 Yamaha. Very comfortable for up to 4 anglers.

As a family-owned business, both father and son are 5th and 6th generation Captains. The passion for fishing runs in their DNA.
The boat’s fishing gear is almost entirely light tackle, and is specifically designed for this type of fishing. Shimano, Daiwa and Penn International products are all commonly used and provided on board. Capt. Eric is fluent in both fly and light tackle fishing, and is committed to showing you the flats fishing potential of the Florida Keys.
Cpt. Eric has been fishing the local waters for more than 25 years, mostly targeting species such as Bonefish, Permit, Snook, Redfish, and Tarpon. He has competed with success in a variety of local fishing tournaments, including the Redbone Celebrity Tournament, Islamorada Sailfish, The Backcountry Challenge and many others.
At the end of the day, whatever type of trip you choose, it’ll be an experience you won’t forget. All fishing equipment, flies, live and artificial bait, as well as the required fishing licenses are covered and provided by Capt, Scoble. Commercial life jackets are available for kids. Bring food and drinks. Pack sunblock, a cap, sunglasses, and light clothes. And don’t forget your camera.

4 Hour Trip – Backcountry Trip (AM)
Had a great time….
Eric worked diligently to find bait and put us on fish. Although we didn’t catch a bunch, we managed several species including my first snook. We were pleased. He was quick to retie and rebait, always making sure we had fresh bait. Easy to get along with, we talked life, fishing, and gave us some great recommendations for local food. We chose Capt Craig’s, Eric, and the blackened shrimp and fish dip were superb. I would have no issue returning to use this charter again.

6 Hour Trip – Backcountry Trip
Great time, caught lots of fish!
Captain Dylan made our experience very enjoyable. We booked a 6 hour backcountry fishing experience. Captain Dylan was on time, prepared, and personable. He contacted us the day before our charter to inform of high winds and suggest moving our fishing trip a day later (according to when we were still going to be in the area) to have a more favorable experience. Although we did not catch any "keepers", we caught about a dozen and a half between the two of us over the 6 hours. There was plenty of action, especially considering the waters being churned up from wind the day before. Captain Dylan was very knowledgeable and attentive to re-baiting our hooks, helping to cast in tricky areas, and explaining the species of fish and wildlife in the area. We would definitely recommend this charter to other individuals!

6 Hour Trip – Backcountry Trip
Back Bay Fishing trip with Eric was outstanding!
Spent the day with Eric on a back bay trip and could not have been more pleased with how we did. We did not catch any grouper /tarpon or Snook, but , caught tons of Lady fish, Weakfish and Jacks! Almost had a 5 foot blacktip shark swallow one of my weakfish on the retrieve! WAHOO! Eric was a fantastic guide and put me on the fish in several different areas while looking for others in several other spots. Great day, great weather and what a landscape. I'll remember it forever!

Fishing with Eric was a great experience! He put us on the fish with our first cast. This was my wife's first fishing trip and Eric made everything very easy for her. We caught lots of fish, we saw lots of animals, and had great conversations all day. We would highly recommend Eric!
