Mongoose Striker Fishing Charters invites you to accompany Captain Scott Sutherland to some of the best saltwater fishing grounds in the waters around Vancouver. With almost four decades of experience guiding trips on these waters, he’s the man you want for the job!

You’ll be fishing on the ‘Mongoose Striker’ - a 30’ Tiara that is considered to be one of the best charter boats on the coast. It is ideal to fish from and offers lots of comfort for up to 6 guests, no matter what the weather is doing. Capt. Scott always uses the best equipment and technology aboard to ensure you have the best possible experience. The Mongoose Striker is located very close to numerous bountiful fishing grounds, which means less time spent going for a boat ride and more time actually fishing.

If you’re looking to hook up plenty of Chinook Salmon with cut bait or lures, this is the charter for you! Chinook are present in these waters during the entire year, and any time’s a good time to get at ‘em! Come late summer and fall, you can also go after Coho, Sockeye, Pink and Chum Salmon if you like.

Rods, reels, and terminal tackle come free of charge with all trip. All you need to do is bring a copy of your fishing license, as well as any drinks or snacks you’d like to have. Layered clothing is recommended, and polarized sunglasses are a must-have. The price for parking in the area is $11-18 per day. I’ve fished all over the world I can tell you that I have never seen a fishing charter like Moongoose Sriker. My grandson (13) is still telling everyone what a wonderful day he had fishing and catching salmon. Everything about the morning charter was perfect . Thank you so much Scott for taking the time and patience to teach my Grandson and myself how to catch salmon. I am so glad we were able to go fishing on your beyond belief fishing vessel. Mongoose Striker's owner, Scott was the best! We chose him above all else because of his reputation and experience in catching fish. Scott has over 44 years of experience, his boat is loaded with the latest state of the art fishing equipment so you will not go home empty handed. Clear your freezer and expect to fill 'er up. Not only did we have a master fisherman but he also kept us entertained with local Canuck history. I recommend, without reservations, Scott for your next fishing trip. It's so refreshing to find someone so passionate about fishing! You will definitely have a great time and most importantly, memories of a lifetime.

Wonderful time!!

Our adult family of 5 had a great time on a six hour fishing charter with Captain Scott. His knowledge of the task at hand, the area, and general seamanship was impressive. We found our Captain to be personable and patient as he answered every question we had. He explained everything from how and why he chose the tackle we used to the salmon species we targeted to reading the pristine waters to assure a successful catch— which we did!! Captain Scott put us on the fish and we had a ball! The boat was clean, spacious, and comfortable with an onboard bathroom and lounge area to relax or escape bad weather. We were outfitted with high quality top brand fishing tackle that was super easy to use. Without reservation we highly recommend Captain Scott of Mongoose Striker Fishing Charter!

Perfect Day on the Water — Plenty of Salmon Caught!

We had an outstanding day fishing on the Mongoose Striker. Captain Scott clearly knows the waters of the bay inside out and guided us straight to where the fish were. The boat is in excellent condition and well equipped, and he gave the kids a clear, fun introduction to fishing that got them engaged right away. The bay was full of salmon, and we ended up catching well over 15 fish in total — an exciting and memorable experience for the whole family. A perfectly organized trip and one we’d be glad to repeat.
