Capt. Rey Rodriguez have been guiding the waters of Southwest fl. for almost 30 years. A kid passion for fishing started a journey that have lasted a lifetime, allowing him to share his love for the flats with many others. Come with him to the flats and bays of Sanibel, Captiva & Pine Island Sound and create some great fishing memories.

These waters are known for Redfish, Tarpon, Snook, Jack Crevalle and Spotted Seatrout. You can choose light tackle or fly fishing gear as your weapon for a fun time on the water.

The 17' Hells Bay is the ultimate shallow water skiff while my 20' Action Craft offers more comfort and capacity for 3 anglers.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

It's always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own drinks. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Capt Rey Rodriguez Fishing Charters!

Fishing for Tarpon
3/4 Day Trip (AM) on May 1, 20261 adult
Fly fishing is really fishing and not catching. Rey was a great guide and we did all we could to hook into a Tarpon. The action was slow that day and no other boats were hooking fish either. (even the bait fisherman). I will be back to fish with Rey again and hopefully hook up on a Tarpon.
