Not only will he do everything to put you on the hottest lake bite, but he will also make sure your adventure on the deepest lake in North America is educational and unforgettable.
He owns a 43' custom built commercial fishing boat, spacious enough to accommodate up to 12 guests! It comes with a 125 HP Perkins Diesel engine, top-of-the-line navigational electronics, and safety gear. A flybridge, restroom, kitchen, and beds can also be found on board, along with live bait tanks and ice-boxes.
The captain will show you the best secret spots and do everything he can to help you land your dream catch. You'll be targeting Walleye, Lake Trout, and Northern Perch and the captain will show you the most efficient techniques, from spinning, jigging, trolling to drifting and even fly fishing.
The captain loves having kids on board and teaching them about fishing and wildlife - don't miss the opportunity to take them on a fun and educational trip they'll always fondly remember. A couple hours of relaxing on Shawn Buckley's boat. Gave us a tour of the northern part of Great Slave Lake. Got to see the quaint house boats and docked off an island while we fished, had our fresh fish dinner, and cruised back in the sunset. Great atmosphere despite the chilly weather with slight overcast. Shawn was easy going and very respectful making the entire experience relaxing and just what we needed as a get away.

Captain Shawn Buckley is a local with Aboriginal roots who grew up fishing. He's a 3rd generation fisherman with over 35 years of experience fishing the Great Slave Lake. He's running fishing trips during summer and guiding ice fishing excursions during winter, and has been doing so for the past 10 years. Captain Shawn loves nature and he's a big supporter of sustainable fishing.

How cancellations work
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 14 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 30% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
