There's plenty to go after in the waters around Orange Beach. Close to the beaches, you can go after Red and Black Drum, as well as Tarpon. Head a bit further away from the coast and the catch list expands with Kingfish, Cobia, Groupers, Permit, Snappers, Bluefish, and many other species.

Remember to pack a cooler to take your hard-fought catch home with you, the captain will even clean and fillet it free of charge. Captain Rob messaged me night before our trip that was booked for 12:00pm next day and wanted to move the trip to 10:30am to beat some of the heat! we met at the marina and it was like reconnecting with a life long friend you had not seen in years. We steadily caught fish the whole time we were on the water. Captain was very friendly and knowledgable and was all around a great guy to go fish with. 5 stars is not enough. 10/10 recommend booking a trip with Rob’s inshore fishing!
My 10-year-old son and I had a great time fishing with Captain Rob. We started our trip on the Alabama side, where we were able to catch our own live bait, which was a fun experience in itself. Once we got out on the water, the conditions were pretty choppy, so Captain Rob made the decision to move us over to the Florida side where the water was much better for fishing. The move paid off! My son was thrilled to catch four fish and was able to keep two of them. I also managed to catch a small catfish. By the end of the trip, we brought home a catfish and a snapper. Captain Rob even cleaned and filleted our fish for us, which was a nice bonus. Throughout the trip, Captain Rob was very knowledgeable and informative about the local area and fishing conditions. He made the experience enjoyable and educational, especially for my son. The only thing that would have made the trip even better would have been catching a few more fish, but overall we had a great experience and made some wonderful memories together.
Took a four hour trip with 4 of my kids. Captain Rob put us on the fish immediately and we caught fish the entire time. Great man and Navy Veteran. We definitely got our moneys worth. We’ll definitely go back out with him again!!
Captain Rob was great! The bite was a little slow but we had a fun time trying to land a big one. I really wish I had more time to fish. My son and I had a great time. I would recommend Captain Rob to take anyone out, regardless of experience level. Take plenty of drinks, and sunscreen if needed. He has a smaller boat that is great for 2 or 3 guests. I would definitely book another trip with him when I come back to Orange Beach.
This was our first saltwater fishing trip and Capt. Rob put us right on them. We brought a few back to eat and turned a pair of giants back out.
