Depending on conditions, you might hook into Speckled Trout, Redfish, Pompano, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, and whatever else is biting.
On these trips, you can expect to be using light spinning tackle.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children under the age of 8 must wear life vests. The captain will have life vests on board. You're welcome to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your vessel for the day is a 23' Bay boat with capacity for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Rods and reels, bait and tackle, and lures are provided by the crew.
The charter provides all necessary fishing licenses, so no need to stress about those before you come aboard! Some species do have a size limit, but the captain will make sure to let you know.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is not allowed.

He was patient, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and always made safety a priority. The fishing was great, but what made this trip truly special had nothing to do with the fish. It was getting to spend quality time with my son, Jack, watching him fish and make memories I’ll never forget. Captain Mike made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable, and I really appreciated getting to swap stories with him throughout the trip. By the end of the charter, he felt more like an old friend than just our guide. If you’re looking for someone who works hard, knows the water, and genuinely cares about giving you a great experience, Captain Mike is your guy. We’d book with him again without hesitation. Well I’m here to tell you all the reviews about Mr Mike are 100% facts and he has NOT seen the last of this Latiolais family. Awesome boat, awesome captain, awesome experience, hammered the fish on artificial from the time we started to the time we stopped 7 different species without even changing locations! Ozzie says he’d give Captain Mike 6 stars if he could!

Hooked numerous trout and a few ladyfish. Then on to docks for Red Fish, caught several big ones. Michael was great with the boys, helping out and telling stories. we could not have asked for anyone more kind and knowledgeable. We had a stupendous time and will certainly be with Michael the next time we are in Orange Beach. Fish cookout tonight!!!!!

Would definitely recommend especially for families. We did a 2 hour trip and was able to get good fishing time in!

Capitan Mike was a great balance of teaching as well as pushing them to do things themselves. Plus we caught some great fish. Highly recommended especially with kids.
