Big Boss - Water Adventure would like to welcome you to Puerto Morelos and offer you some of the greatest fishing experiences in the area, cruising through fish-rich turquoise Caribbean waters. Your captain for the day is a passionate fisherman who can't wait to put you on the catch of your life.
The captain loves teaching kids (all ages welcome) and he will get them on a load of fish, starting with smaller and working up to bigger fish throughout the day. He can also go all-out sportfishing with pros.
'Big Boss' is a 38 Chris-Craft convertible boat powered by twin 375 HP Caterpillar 3208 engines. This beauty can take up to 10 anglers fishing without tangling lines. It's equipped with the latest navigational technology and fishing equipment, including 5 outriggers, downriggers, and the best, most colorful lures on the market to bring in the big ones.
Depending on the time of the year, you can reel in prestigious catches such as Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, White Marlin, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and Barracuda. The charter offers topwater trolling, as well as deep bottom fishing.
Your fishing experience will include all the tackle, lures, frozen Ballyhoo, along with sodas and beer (national). On Full Day trips, the crew will happily make a delicious ceviche with your catch of the day or they can also clean and fillet the fish for you to take home. The captain can even take you to the best local restaurants where you can have your catch cooked up with rice and salad. The best part? It will cost you only $10!

What a crew!
Full Day Trip on April 10, 2026 • 3 adults • 1 child
My family had the pleasure of fishing with Big Boss and her crew for a full 8 hour day. Our focus was on larger game, primarily Mahi Mahi, Marlin and Sailfish. Although no Marlin or Sailfish were caught, we did get 3 very large Mahi Mahi, one of which took nearly 30 minutes to battle to the boat. These guys put everything they had into trying to load our boat up. The ceviche the crew created with our Mahi Mahi was out of this world, and was devoured by our family. We plan on heading back in April again, and will definitely hire Big Boss' crew.

Best Family Day and civeche lunch
Full Day Trip on April 12, 2026 • 6 adults
6 of us all family on the Big Boss boat today with captain and his crew. Waves were very big and the captain and crew got us out there to catch fish. 5 mahi mahi and a swordfish were caught. Swordfish and 4 mahi mahi released and they made us fresh civeche from our keepable mahi mahi. Transportation was amazing through Victor, $85.00 round trip from Royalton Splash to marina and back and Big Boss charter got this figured out for us. Soda, water, beers and snacks were provided on board.

Family trip catching White Marlin and Dorado…!
Full Day Trip on April 5, 2026 • 2 adults • 3 children
Big Boss fishing was an excellent experience for my family of 5. I had my 7, 10 and 12 year old aboard who all had the best time. we started it off with a dorado and then a trophey White Marlin that was a chore to get in. When we come back we will definately use Big Boss again. They were great communicating back about rescheduling due to bad weather with zero issues. The only negative is the price does not include transport to the marina.

First off, I want to say that both our captain and mate worked their absolute asses off to get us on as many fish as possible. We didn’t catch any trophies this trip, which was unfortunate, but I booked the charter a little too early in the season. That’s fishing though, you don’t catch monsters every time. What really makes the difference is the energy the crew brings and the effort they put in.
I’ve gone on many charters in my life, and I have never seen such an excited and determined crew. About six hours into our trip, we got hit by a monsoon-level storm, but that didn’t stop them. We pushed through and ended up catching more than 15 bottom fish, which our captain immediately turned into amazing fresh ceviche (keep in mind I hate fish and this stuff was amazing) while we were getting pelted with rain.
This crew is astounding. We learned a lot, and we had a lot of fun and laughs along the way. If you’re on the fence, book it, I promise it will be worth it. I’m already looking at coming back later this year or next year to chase that monster, and there’s no crew I’d rather do it with.

Half Day Trip - 1:00 PM on December 20, 2025 • 2 adults
Very windy day arrived early to the boat Captain Jaime said the crew and himself would have a little lunch, and we could start at noon. One hour earlier than expected. The Crew was 2 men Julio and Lorenzo. They were very accommodating to get both of us Senior Citizens aboard. They were so friendly, getting all 6 lines in the water quickly. They offered us beverages and off we went trolling like we were promised. Had plenty of action catching King and Spanish Mackerel, Baracuda,Bonita. At one point the Crew said Big Bait- Big fish and prepared 2 huge Baitfish and waited for Action. Not long after one pole bent over and I was totally Freaked Out over what I had on the line . It felt like i was pulling an Automobile off bottom, only to have it come off shortly after. We had another similar bite and lost that one quickly also. But the Excitement will last a Lifetime. We ended up fishing for 5 hours, an hour longer than expected. Can't say how happy we were with the experience. By far best fishing charter I've ever encountered in Mexico. Also VERY RESONABLY priced compared to other charters. Nice People!
