If you've been looking for a fishing trip in Miami, the name Mark the Shark must have come up at least a dozen times. Captain Mark has been on a number of TV shows where he spoke about his shark fishing adventures and is very well known among locals. The main locations his charter covers are Miami (including Miami Beach), Fort Lauderdale, as well as surrounding areas. He runs an all-inclusive charter and is happy to welcome all anglers, no matter whether they are novices or pros.

The boat you will be fishing on is a 50' Hatteras, and you'll see from the photos that she's a real beauty. A boat this big needs a lot of power, which is why it's equipped with two 600 HP Detroit Diesel engines. Apart from all the necessary safety and navigation gear, the boat also has an air-conditioned cabin and private head to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

Captain Mark will usually take you fishing from around a mile from shore, which is a ten-minute ride from the coast. Deep sea fishing is great out there, so expect to see plenty of Sailfish, Wahoo, Red Snapper, as well as a variety of Sharks, of course. Fly fishing and spearfishing gear can also be found onboard, so feel free to use what makes you the most comfortable.

The price of any trip includes rods, reels, and terminal tackle, as well as the necessary fishing licenses, a frameable 8x10 glossy photo of your trophy fish, video, and a souvenir shark tooth. Gratuity is not included in the price of a given trip, it's customary to tip 20% of the total charter price. Children of all ages are welcome, and you can also bring your pet if you like.

Don't miss a chance to see why Mark the Shark is not just a name, but a brand we all know and love.

Half Day Trip – Afternoon on March 16, 20191 adult

Trust the weather
Full Day Trip on November 9, 20192 adults
Captain and crew seemed like good guys. If the weather was good it probably would have been a great day. But you can't control the weather and I understand that. My issue is with business practices. 2 days out I get a text from captain asking to delay charter one day due to bad weather. I reply that we are leaving that day and cannot delay charter. That evening I check tv, internet, and noaa offshore weather to find terrible terrible forecast. 25 to 40 kt winds and rain. The next day I text captain that we should cancel. He replies that the weather will be great. Don't worry. Trust me I do this every day. Then that evening I get a text asking for a decision because he has someone else wanting to go out that day. Against my father's advice I agree to keep charter. Morning of charter all weather reports are still terrible. More texts guaranteeing it will be nice. I explain my 76 yo dad doesn't really want to get thrown all around. Oh no it's gonna be nice trust me I do this everyday. We arrive 8am and parking lot signs are getting blown over. But everything is ok cause it's gonna blow thru. I pay balance and we are off. It's too rough to go out in the ocean in a 50ft boat so we sit inside a jetty for several hours till I pull the plug. 1100 dollars plus I still tipped the mates 200 is spent for 3 hours sitting in a boat in the channel. My dad, a retired sailor and former boat captain, laughs at me and says 'you know he knew the whole time right'. I knew. Just didn't listen to my own common sense. Fyi. I've ran charter boats in the past and I knew better. Messed up and listened to someone else this time.

Half day trip with Mark the shark
Half Day Trip – Morning on February 24, 20184 adults
We came for a sailfish and were not disappointed!! Rough seas were the only downside as it was a windy day. When the sailfish hooked, it was amazing how quickly we forgot about the swells! Great crew and one of the best pictures ever on my office wall. If you haven’t held a fishing pole with a sailfish on the other end of the line jumping high out of the water, you are missing out! Thank you Captain Mark and your crew for a great experience!!

Half day trip with Mark the Shark
Half Day Trip – Afternoon on October 24, 20174 adults
It was a wonderful fishing experience for a family with two boys (12 + 7 years old) all non experienced anglers. The crew is tremendously professional and we always felt in good, responsible hands. The boat is actually bigger than we expected and Captain Mark's office with hundreds of shark jaws is a must see! We can't imagine that there is a stronger likelihood to catch some big fish than with Captain Mark and his crew. We caught big fish we never thought was possible! We would always do it again...
