Operating out of Niceville, and with only a 15 minute ride to the gulf, you can be at the fishing grounds in no time! Captain Wayne Alexander has been fishing in this area since 2003 and he can’t wait to share his experience with other passionate anglers.
He invites you to join him aboard his 26’ NauticStar center console that can take up to 4 anglers fishing comfortably. “Just Add Water” is perfect for both near shore and offshore fishing and comes powered by twin 150 HP Yamaha engines, freshwater shower, full head, 2 bait tanks , and an ice-box. There’s no minimum age, so bringing your little ones is a must.
When it comes to offshore game, you’ll be focusing on Grouper, Triggerfish, Red Snapper along with several other Snapper species ,at wrecks and reefs. You could also do some trolling for King Mackerel ,Spanish Mackerel ,and possibly Blackfin Tuna and Mahi Mahi.
Top-notch Quantum ,Shimano and Penn fishing gear and bait will be covered by the charter as well. Live bait can be caught or purchased outside the pass before heading out to the fishing grounds. You can keep your catch, but please keep in mind most saltwater fish have size limits, bag limits, and seasons to keep them. All of the rules and regulations are there to preserve the future of fishing. Captain Wayne will clean and bag your catch back at the dock.
The captain will supply you with sun lotion, bottled water, and snacks. He is also a trained chef and can advise you on how to prepare your fish, or it can be prepared at L J Schooners Restaurant at the marina for only $9.95 per person (subject to change).

We caught some nice flounder!
3 hour trip inshore - Kids (AM) on March 19, 2025
The weather was great which made for a great start. The Captain communicated well and we arrived at the dock about 9:00. He did a quick safety check and then we were off. The first stop was the seam at the incoming tide, we did a couple passes trolling then went to a few other spots. We started getting bit as we got closer to the jetty. We found a spot with some fish and put 5 keeper Flounder in the boat quickly. We had just as many keepers as we did smaller fish. After about another hour we headed back where the Captain filleted our fish for us. We all had a great time. The boat was outfitted well with electronics and fresh live bait. We all caught fish and all had a great time!

We fished with Captain Wayne and had such an amazing experience. Wayne was very knowledgeable and hard working. We caught over 30 fish between 4 people in under 3 hours. I highly recommend this charter for anyone who wants to catch plenty of fish and learn a thing or two along the way. We try again!

Fantastic Day on the Gulf

Captain Wayne was very knowledgeable of all the areas to ensure we were successful in securing a catch on our charter with him. He was very patient with our group of 4 ladies who had never fished before and we caught plenty of fish on our 4 hour charter. The captain spent his entire time worried that I would catch enough fish to be happy. He was very attentive to my needs and wants. In all I caught about 20+ fish with 4 or 5 nice keepers. Very happy. The cost was reasonable, more than reasonable. I’ve gone out with younger, cockier captains that I would not want children in the boat with. I would trust this captain with all ages. Very honorable and respectable.

I have owned a boat since 2003 and now have a Nauticstar 26’ center console with twin 150 Yamaha outboards. I have been fishing in this area since 1973, when my dad was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base. Before becoming a captain, I worked as a chef for 35 years. I have had a love for fishing since I was 3. What I love the most is fishing offshore in the gulf, so I have a lot of experience bottom fishing and trolling. Since I'm a skilled chef, I can give advice on how to cook it at home or recommend some of the best local restaurants to cook your catch.
