Just Add Water Charters
Bountiful Florida Gulf of Mexico waters have so much to offer when it comes to near shore and offshore fishing and Just Add Water Charters specializes in both! Operating out of Niceville, and with only a 15 minute ride to the gulf, you can be at the fishing grounds in no time! Captain Wayne Alexander has been fishing in this area since 2003 and he can’t wait to share his experience with other passionate anglers.
He invites you to join him aboard his 26’ NauticStar center console that can take up to 4 anglers fishing comfortably. “Just Add Water” is perfect for both near shore and offshore fishing and comes powered by twin 150 HP Yamaha engines, freshwater shower, full head, 2 bait tanks , and an ice-box. There’s no minimum age, so bringing your little ones is a must.
When it comes to offshore game, you’ll be focusing on Grouper, Triggerfish, Red Snapper along with several other Snapper species ,at wrecks and reefs. You could also do some trolling for King Mackerel ,Spanish Mackerel ,and possibly Blackfin Tuna and Mahi Mahi.
Top-notch Quantum ,Shimano and Penn fishing gear and bait will be covered by the charter as well. Live bait can be caught or purchased outside the pass before heading out to the fishing grounds. You can keep your catch, but please keep in mind most saltwater fish have size limits, bag limits, and seasons to keep them. All of the rules and regulations are there to preserve the future of fishing. Captain Wayne will clean and bag your catch back at the dock.
The captain will supply you with sun lotion, bottled water, and snacks. He is also a trained chef and can advise you on how to prepare your fish, or it can be prepared at L J Schooners Restaurant at the marina for only $9.95 per person (subject to change).
The only thing missing for a perfect day on the water? Just you!

Highlight of our summer vacation!
My wife, son, friend, and I had an unforgettable experience during our week-long vacation in Destin, Fl. We decided to try deep sea fishing for the first time and were fortunate to have Captain Wayne as our guide. From the moment we stepped onto his beautiful boat, which was clean and fully equipped, we knew we were in for a treat. Captain Wayne gave us clear and patient instructions, making us feel comfortable and confident despite being novices. He expertly navigated us to the best fishing spots, ensuring that if we didn't get any bites within a few minutes, we quickly moved to a more promising location. Our efforts were rewarded with a fantastic catch, more than enough for a delightful "hook n’ cook" dinner. As a chef with 35 years of experience, Captain Wayne even shared his personal recipe for fish tacos. We highly recommend Captain Wayne for your family's deep sea fishing adventure. 3 hour trip inshore - Kids (AM)
We caught some nice flounder!
The weather was great which made for a great start. The Captain communicated well and we arrived at the dock about 9:00. He did a quick safety check and then we were off. The first stop was the seam at the incoming tide, we did a couple passes trolling then went to a few other spots. We started getting bit as we got closer to the jetty. We found a spot with some fish and put 5 keeper Flounder in the boat quickly. We had just as many keepers as we did smaller fish. After about another hour we headed back where the Captain filleted our fish for us. We all had a great time. The boat was outfitted well with electronics and fresh live bait. We all caught fish and all had a great time!

Welcoming to Complete Beginners!
As complete beginners, Capt was more than happy to show us the ropes. We caught a wide variety of fish (snappers, Spanish mackerel and triggerfish) and Capt was very flexible with the 6 hours: inshore fishing near some docks, offshore fishing near some reefs, and trolling too. Capt filleted fish for us and we took it straight to LJ Schooners to cook your catch. Would book again!

Great trip!
We caught lots of fish, from grouper, to red snapper, and several others! Unfortunately not all were keepers, but tons of fun catching fish! I even had a shark grab one of the fish I was reeling in which was a heck of a fight while I had him. Captain Wayne worked hard to keep us on the fish, we definitely recommend him to others.

Great trip, knowledgeable captain, nice boat
Captain Wayne was so nice, very knowledgeable about the water , marine life, equipment and very social in general. He did his best to make sure we got fish - even though the water was choppy that day. I definitely recommend his services for an off shore fishing adventure.
