For those that haven’t fished in Port Jefferson yet, the question you need to ask yourself right now is, why not? Beautiful scenery, plentiful waters, and a range of species to catch – the list goes on. And it’s ok if you’re not sure whether to inshore or offshore fish, as Captain Dennis Caracciolo of D.C. Outdoor Adventures does it all. He has over 4 decades of experience and will make sure you have an awesome charter.
The day will be spent on his beautiful 28’ Parker boat. She can easily have you and 5 friends fish in comfort without bumping elbows. Perfect when you are offshore and reeling in big Tuna or Mahi Mahi!
She also boasts twin 500 HP Yamaha engine, as well as full navigational equipment from Raymarine. This top of the line gear will get you to the fish and sticking on top of them all day, keeping you busy reeling them in.
The species you can expect to target differ depending on whether you are heading offshore or inshore. Offshore Tuna trips will see species such as Bigeye, Yellowfin, Bluefin, and Albacore Tuna. The action-packed Shark trips will have you battling Tiger, Mako, Thresher, Blue Shark, Hammerhead, and more. Inshore will have Flounder, Striper, Bluefish, Porgy, Seabass, Weakfish and more on the menu.
Even the little ones are welcome on the inshore trips, with the smoother waters being ideal for them. There is no minimum age, as Capt. Dennis leaves it up to the parents to decide if their kid is ready to learn how to fish. When you bring them along, there are life vests on board for them.
For those that wish to fly fish, bowfish, or spearfish, please bring along your own equipment. For all other techniques, Penn rods and reels are provided. You will need to bring along snacks and drinks, and if going on the inshore trip, a fishing license as well.
Book now and have a fin-tastic adventure with D.C. Outdoor Adventures, which you won’t forget in a hurry.
