Half day trip Capt. Ray
4 Hour Trip – Nearshore (AM) on August 1, 20222 adults1 child

I booked a trip with my son-in-law and granddaughter, this was her 1st fishing trip, and it was an amazing day for all of us. Capt. Ray took us right to the fish and Nick his mate made sure my granddaughter had the best time. I would highly recommend them and thank you for this everlasting memory. Pat

Half Day Close Shore Fishing With Captain Ray
4 Hour Trip – Nearshore (AM) on July 29, 20203 adults

It was a great day fishing with Captain Ray. My wife and daughter wanted to return to the dock about an hour into the trip due to not feeling well from the unexpected sea state. He happily obliged but we still got 3 Spanish Mackerel while heading in. He and I then returned to get another Spanish before ending the day catching and releasing some flounder. It was a great day to be on the water with somebody who puts his customers first. It was money well spent and to be honest, my review would’ve bee the same had we caught got skunked. Thanks again, Ray!

Response from Captain

Thank you Drew for the kind words. I really enjoyed fishing with you today. It’s always fun fishing with good people like yourself. I just wish the sea state was better to start the day. I Believe the rest of your family would have had a great time. When the ocean laid down. Great day. I hope to fish with you again soon. Till then tight lines and catch em up.

Great Captain and crew
6 Hour Trip – Nearshore on April 5, 20212 adults2 children

Even with cold temps and not much going according to the other captains, Captain Ray and his first mate Nick really did a great job finding us fish. We got into the blues and the Spanish Mackerel while trolling. They are great people and enjoyable to be around. My family had a great time and will do it again. Highly recomend them for families and serious anglers. They can do it all.

Half day trip with Ray
4 Hour Trip – Nearshore (PM) on April 21, 20222 adults

My father in law and 15 yr. old son enjoyed a great day being shown how to do a little in shore fishing on the river. Didn't have a ton of action but great conversation and learned a few new rigs and how to find some good places for fish. Would definitely try again in the summer months!

Response from Captain

We had a really good time too. They were a lot of fun. I’m sorry the fish were not biting better. East wind does that from time to time.

Excellent Service with Captain Ray!
4 Hour Trip – Nearshore (AM) on June 17, 20202 adults2 children

Captain Ray went above and beyond to put us on the fish with my niece and daughter. He was great with the kids, flexible to the conditions, and made sure we had stories to tell when we got home. My daughter's bull red qualified for a state citation! The next day I took my son and nephew and he put us on all kinds of spanish mackeral and flounder. He was flexible with the timing when we had an equipment issue and made sure we got our money's worth. All around awesome experience!

Ray Dixon
Response from Captain

Thank you Jeremy. I enjoyed taking you and your family fishing. Let’s do it again sometime.

I have fished in the Carolina Beach area my whole life. I think the first memory I have of fishing I was around 5 years old. I started fishing on my own boat 20 years ago. Fishing is my passion. I've been told that I would rather fish than breathe – quite a few times! I like nearshore fishing best. We catch a lot of Flounder and Trout in the summer months through the fall and in the winter. We catch a lot of big bull Reds in the fall. And we target Red Drum and Speckled Trout from fall through the winter, with an occasional Flounder or two in the winter months. We fish live bait and artificial baits year-round.
