Come join Mike Hazen on the majestic North Oregon Coast rivers of Tillamook for your next fishing adventure. His passion for fishing in his personal and professional life led him to his calling as a professional fishing guide, and he can't wait to introduce you to these plentiful waters onboard Hazen's Guide Service!
Capt. Mike is an avid lifetime sport fisherman and has over 15 years experience in the aquaculture industry. Getting his clients on as many fish as possible is his top priority, and Capt. Mike prides himself on providing a fun, memorable experience that often leads to a lifelong friendship with his guests.
You'll be heading out onto productive waters in a 18' Willie drift boat equipped with all required safety gear, including life jackets for children. She can comfortably accommodate up to 3 anglers, as well as Capt. Mike. He's CPR and First Aid certified, as well as Coast Guard licensed and insured, so you'll be in safe hands!
Many factors, including weather, fishing regulations, and recent fishing reports will determine exactly where you'll be fishing, and which species you can expect to reel in. Your captain will discuss this with you before your trip. We may be fishing anywhere between Scappoose, Astoria, and Tillamook. If you're traveling during Salmon season, you can expect to drift fish for Coho and Chinook varieties. Sturgeon and Steelhead are available all year round. Capt. Mike will be on hand to teach you the best techniques for reeling in your dream catch!
Your trip includes all rods, reels, tackle and bait, and limited rain gear is available upon request. Capt. Mike loves teaching anglers of all ages and skill levels, so families with children are more than welcome aboard. All you need to bring with you is a valid Oregon fishing license, lunch, snacks, and clothing.

Mike is the hardest working person I’ve ever met! My son and I had zero experience fishing from a drift boat but Mike made it really easy and taught us both in the first 10 minutes of the trip. I can’t recommend Mike as highly as words will allow. Regardless of your skill level, if you’re hesitant at all about booking at all just do it. He’s by far, the best there is and we have promised ourselves that fishing with Mike is now a family tradition that we will continue for years to come. Thanks Mike! Bryce and I are already talking about the next trip this summer!

We had two great days of salmon fishing with Mike. We took my son and 2 grandsons and got all three of them fish. Mike really knows his stuff. When the fishing was tough we were boating fish when all others weren’t. He loves to visit and really get to know his clients. I would definitely recommend him for your next fishing trip. - Jeff
My nephew and I spent a cold but productive day on the Wilson with our guide, Mike Hazen. We persevered through snow, sleet, and rain to land three bright steelhead. We enjoy fishing with Mike who knows where the fish are and how to catch them.
Not every day is that harsh of weather, but we sure made the best of it! Weather is definitely something we can't control, but even in the toughest conditions we always seem to catch fish and have a good time. Can't wait for our next trip buddy!

Eventually I earned a degree in fisheries and started a career in research and aquaculture. Still yearning for more time on the water fishing I decided to get my captain's license to become a fully certified fishing guide. Hazen's Guide Service LLC was formed soon after with the help of my lovely wife. Together we run a family owned business that strives to give all of our guests a top notch experience from start to finish.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
