Starting out of Murrells Inlet, you and Captain Jay Sconyers will have an action-packed trip fishing nearshore, offshore, reefs, as well as wreck. Captain Jay is a seasoned angler who'll do everything to put you on the fish and provide you with an enjoyable stay on the water. Your boat for the day will be a 34' Hydra Sports center console that can fit up to 6 anglers. Running on triple 250 HP Yamaha engines, it will rapidly take you to your fishing spots. For efficient navigation, the boat uses GPS, fishfinder, radio, as well as radar technology. It's also equipped with outriggers, downriggers, and a livewell. In order to enjoy your trip as much as possible, you can use a portable toilet, Bluetooth system, SiriusXM radio, and you'll also have a first mate at your disposal.
The fish you'll go after includes Black Seabass, Blackfin Tuna, Broomtail Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Tautog, Redfish, and many more. To attract them, you and the captain can bottom fish, troll, spin, and jig, using both light and heavy tackle. You're free to keep the fish you catch. Kids are welcome to join aboard, so bring your whole family and enjoy a stay in beautiful nature.
All the tackle, live bait, and lures will be ready for you when you arrive. Captain Jay will also provide licenses and clean your catch after the trip. Just make sure to bring some food and drinks before you leave and you'll be set to go.

Special 6 hour trip for Jodie Bowman on June 11, 2025 • 3 adultsI booked this trip for my husband, father n law and son for Father’s Day and hands down, the “two dummies” (what they referred to themselves as) were incredible! (Mike and another fella) I personally was referred by a friend to use this character as he stated “I’ve used several charters and hands down, ACES is the best in the area”, and by all 3 of my guys, they agree! The staff on the boat knew exactly what they were doing, had everything that was needed, helped my little guy (12 year old) stay safe and caught all the fish they could. The staff was punctual and a very fun crew from what’s been told to me. It’s been approximately 7 hours since they got off the boat and I’m still hearing stories of their 6 hour long trip. Definitely recommend!

If it’s a quality experience, with captain and crew that know these waters, it’s Captain Jay and Mike for the win. They were so excited about our day, you’d think they didn’t go out fishing everyday. So welcoming, so knowledgeable. Great attention to kids! Thrilled like kids themselves, with every single “fish on!” yell. Full disclosure, over the past 6 years our family has charted with Aces Up 3 times. We are hooked! Fish in the boat. Lasting memories made. We will be back!

4 Hour Trip on December 5, 2021 • 3 adultsEpic day fishing with my son and brother with Captain Jay! He put us on the fish immediately. It was nonstop action. We caught all types of fish lost count how many after the first hour. By the second hour we had our limit of sea bass, caught a bunch of beautiful red snapper and catch of the day was a huge gag grouper. We had a blast laughed and caught fish the entire day. Great boat, great crew and equipment. Highly recommend booking I certainly will be booking again.
