Looking to battle some big game saltwater superstars in a stunning location? Want to add some true local flair to your family vacation? Come aboard Yates En Renta San Carlos for the angling adventure of a lifetime! Located in beautiful San Carlos, Mexico, this charter offers a variety of fishing trips for every type of guest – from all you hardened fishermen out there, to families with little ones just discovering their sea legs.
Yates En Renta San Carlos is proud to say that they have insider knowledge when it comes to the hottest fishing spots of San Carlos, thanks to the expert guidance of local angling aficionado Captain Ruben Gildardo Espinosa Solis. Capt. Ruben was born and raised here, and has been fishing since he was old enough to hold a rod. Since 2005, he’s been using his years of knowledge and experience to show guests just what these plentiful waters have to offer.
You’ll be heading out on Capt. Ruben’s 27’ Tolicraft offshore sportfishing vessel, built to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. She’s decked out with top-notch navigational gear, life jackets for ages 8+, a private bathroom, and plenty of room for relaxation in between bites. There are outriggers to help you cover more ground when trolling, and a fighting chair for all you hardcore anglers out there!
Speaking of trolling, this is your captain’s preferred technique when it comes to hooking huge big game species. You’ll be going after Mahi Mahi, Bluefin Tuna, Sailfish, and a variety of mighty Marlin species. If you want to mix up your angling action, you can also spin, bottom fish, drift fish, and jig for your catch. Don’t worry if you’ve never tried these before – Capt. Ruben will show you the ropes!
As well as top-notch rods, reels, and tackle, your trip includes snorkeling gear to explore these waters from a different angle. Capt. Ruben will make sure you’re treated to local-style snacks and drinks, too. Come aboard Yates En Renta San Carlos for an incredible angling adventure!

The bad: The boat you get isn't the boat on the website necessarily. This boat wasn't even equipment with outriggers and looked much older than the other boat. We didn't venture that far out to sea. I would figure that it would be more overfished closer to San Carlos. I don't even think this boat would be capable of catching a proper sized marlin. We only caught two keepers and one not. With they said, this could be normal as my deep sea fishing experience isn't much. The good: the crew was very nice and helpful. The breakfast and lunch was very good as well. We ate ceviche and rolled tacos. They cleaned the fish as part of the service and did a good job of doing it. The takeaway is that I'm happy we caught something, but I feel like we overpaid for the experience.

We paid for a fishing trip but only got a tour trip. The crew didn't even now how to set up the fishing lines. We asked, after 2 hours, to be taking back to land. The highlight was a rock that looked like a lizard. Very disappointed. Next time, we are just going to go where the boats are. They were yelling at us to pick them when we 1st got there. VERY BAD BUSINESS. Everyone in our party spoke Spanish, so there was no language barrier. Don't pay online!!!!!!!!
