When it comes to Ontario’s famous freshwater fishing grounds, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better combination than Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair. Mainstream Fishing Charters offer awesome, fully-guided trips exploring both of these lakes, depending on when you visit. Whether you’re looking for a fast-paced excursion chasing various Panfish, or want to tangle lines with the mighty Musky, join Captain David Weil for a first-class freshwater adventure!

Capt. David’s passion for angling started at the age of 6, when he caught his first Smallmouth Bass in his grandfather’s pond. From then on, he was hooked! He transferred this love for fishing into a career as a guide, and has explored many of the Great Lakes. Now, he specializes in running trips out of Southwest Ontario, targeting Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair, as well as local canals, creeks, and marshes.

You’ll be heading out on your captain’s 20’ Sprint bass boat, perfectly built to tackle freshwater fishing grounds. She can accommodate up to 3 guests, making her the perfect option for newbies and seasoned fishermen who want a truly hands-on, personal experience. She’s equipped with fishfinder and GPS, life jackets in a variety of sizes, and a wireless trolling motor to help you silently sneak up on your catch.

Where you fish depends on which trip you opt for. If you want to explore Lake Erie’s world-famous fishery, you’ll have the chance to reel in Walleye using light tackle. Want to chase some tasty table fare? Join Capt. David for his fast-paced Panfish adventure. If you’d like to come face-to-face with a freshwater beast, then you can spin and cast for Musky. New angler? Don’t worry – Capt. David will show you the ropes, and his Carp and Catfish trip is perfect for beginners with little ones!

All you need to bring with you is a fishing license – Capt. David will provide rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Come aboard Mainstream Fishing Charters for a first-class freshwater adventure!
