Come fishing in one of the most unique areas in the world with Lucky Hook Charters! Captain Jorge Fernandez has been fishing in the area for over 20 years and he has brought his skill to perfection. He can take you fishing all the way from North Miami Beach to the Upper Florida Keys and out to the Gulf Stream. These spots bring a wide range of fishing opportunities.
'The Short Timer' is a 28' custom build fish around that enables 360 degrees of unobstructed fishing. She accommodates up to 4 anglers and she's powered by twin 300 HP Mercury Verado engines. This fishing machine's renowned hull will get you to the fishing grounds fast, dry, and comfortable.
Your captain will provide you with conventional and spin fishing gear for any convenience. Whether you decide to go bottom bouncing for Snapper and Grouper, live baiting for Kingfish and Sailfish, trolling the Gulf Stream for Wahoo and Mahi Mahi, or fishing Biscayne Bay for Sea Trout and Spanish Mackerel – they have the right bait and tackle. The season will usually dictate what can be caught and on which fishing spot.
A successful fishing day does not end at the marina – it ends in a restaurant! Capt. Jorge will clean, fillet, and bag your catch and you can have it prepared in a local restaurant.

3/4 Day Trip on June 6, 2026 • 2 adultsThe boat captain was knowledgeable and took us to a number of locations to help us catch something. We caught three fish: Tuna, Mahi Mahi, hound fish. The water was choppy, but we quickly built trust with the captain and he maneuvered the rocky waters safely. He fileted the fish for us, gave us a taste straight from the spine of the tuna and walked us to a restaurant afterwards to have the chef cook our catch. We'd book Jorge again for sure!

Captain Jorge was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He knew exactly where to take us based on local conditions, and his passion for fishing was truly contagious. Whether it was helping us with techniques, sharing local fishing insights, or making sure we were comfortable and having fun, he went above and beyond. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and perfect for our adventure. We caught some fish, and spent over 40 minutes reeling in a mature sailfish, all while making unforgettable memories, and enjoyed every moment of the trip. 3/4 Day Trip on July 17, 2025 • 2 adultsCaptain Jorge was great he found us bait fish first and then we dropped lines caught fish out in the deep ocean and to end the trip he took us in shore for some sea trout fun fishing with whatever bait he had left. There was never a dull moment and he was very patient I went with my father in law who’s a little older and he helped him immensely from casting for him to baiting his hook for him highly recommended trip thanks again captain Jorge

Day of the trip was absolutely amazing! Captain Jorge got us on the fish. We caught wahoo and other species and enjoyed every second. Captain Jorge was very professional and kind and really knows his stuff! If you’re looking for a great experience with someone who knows what he’s doing then Captain Jorge is your man. Thank you Captain Jorge for the amazing day! We will definitely be back to see you so we can put some Mahi in the boat next time.
