We actually ended up rescheduling our trip due to possible bad weather. They made it so easy and it wasn't a problem. The Captain and crew were great. The best part was taking our catch to El Capitan restaurant and having it cooked for us. It was fantastic and done perfectly. The snorkeling was also great. My only advice would be, if you're going to go to the restaurant and have your fish cooked, you need to arrange your own transportation there. I made the mistake of assuming that we would be dropped off there. It wasn't a big deal but might be helpful to others.
Our 4-hour fishing trip was a memorable experience. We were fortunate enough to land a huge King Mackerel as well as a Barracuda. The snorkeling spot was a lot of fun as well. Best of all, they took our catch to the restaurant (El Captain) and cooked it 4 ways. This was delicious and included in the price! Things that could've gone better: * we were told to come to an area that ended up having no car access. Maybe this was a temporary blockade, but needed to circle around and walk >20 minutes each way. * the $ / MXN exchange rate that the guide quoted was very different than the website. In dollars, we had to pay a ~15% markup. So we had to exchange MXN elsewhere. * The captain you get is out of your control. Our guides were both nice and did their job well, but barely spoke English and didn't talk to us much.

We went on a 1/2 day fishing with Tito and Jerry. It was a beautiful day, calm seas. Although this is not the best season for fishing, we had several hits and managed to land a nice large barracuda. Afterwards Charley took us to his restaurant and we had a fantastic meal, featuring barracuda ceviche and grilled barracuda. Thanks to everyone at Jazmin for providing the opportunity to fish in Tulum.
My family had a great experience with Tito and crew. They were very accommodating and professional. The fish we caught were prepared for dinner at El Capitan, which is a close drive from the beach. This was some of the best ceviche I've ever eaten. Overall, great experience, I highly recommend.

we didnt get as many fish as we woud have liked or hoped for. George and Diego made up for it by being very nice. gave us some history about the place as well as tips for places to go.

For Capt. Charly, fishing has been a lifelong passion, and he loves that he gets to do something he loves as a career. He's been fishing in Tulum for over 2 years now, and previously fished the waters of Playa del Carmen for 8 years. He has extensive experience of these waters, and loves introducing customers from far and wide to this incredible fishery. His favorite part of the job is meeting guests from all over, and putting them on the fish of a lifetime!
