First day we went for salmon caught 2 coho, Chinook we caught 6 we lost a half a dozen fish which spit out the hook 56 lbs of salmon we had double headers he was really busy for 3 hours.
Second day we went for halibut longer ride out to the fishing area my wife caught a 55 lb halibut we all limited out ended up with a 112 lbs of halibut he knows his stuff does his job very well I would use him again, just like the first time we used him knows how to get the fish, awesome equipment and a good boat with a bathroom for the ladies

We felt very at ease with experienced and accommodating Captain. Caught numerous species entire trip as he made the effort to change location where necessary for the best results. He went over and above to make sure we had a memorable day. At the end of the day he was quite happy to fully fillets all of our great catch.

Mark was knowledgeable and determined to see that we caught fish. We caught multiple Chinook, lingcod and a rockfish. We also saw a gray whale, sea lion, seal and several bald eagles!

My problem is primarily with the booking. I booked through fishing booker and it seemed to be super helpful. Set the date. Set the number of people in the group and it generated the price and asks for 10% deposit up front. Then come time to pay the remainder, my guide was unaware of how many guests were in our party (4 not 5) and wanted more money then what the fishing booker app said was owing. I brought this to Marks attention and he seemed bewildered and was adamant that i owed more money.  I paid because i was not about to ruin a trip with the boys over $100.  I let it ago. Morning of, i introduced my self and the first thing Mark had to say to me was how much i annoyed him with inquiry.

Regarding the fishing its self, it seemed mark wasnt super confident we’d catch anything from the start, i say that based on his remarks before we left. Couple of us were sea sick bemut that wasnt stopping us we were willing to find that fish. Unfortunately mark could not put us on them. We jigged in one spot for 4 hrs and then trolled one tack back to land, seemingly a way to save fuel if you asked me.
And in my opinion, if you arent catching fish, maybe as a guide you stay off your phone and you change over gear and try new strategy.

What a day! Luck was on our side or was it the hard working captain? A gloomy day turned to sunny skies and the ocean was glass. Mark took the time to try different t spots and depths to ensure we found the fish….AND WE DID!!! After limiting out on chinooks, Mark promptly reeled in and travelled to a new spot targeting coho, and it 💯 paid off. He was genuinely a very helpful, caring guide and I would suggest to anyone looking for a wicked experience in ucluelet to get touch! Thanks again Mark!
