Reel Attitude
Spend a fun day in the Chesapeake Bay with Reel Attitude! Captain Jon Tkach has been fishing in the area his whole life and he knows the best inshore spots. He does all types of bay fishing and he's always after a new record!
Capt. Jon welcomes you aboard his 42' Glass Marine bay boat, which accommodates up to 18 anglers. She's powered by a 450 HP Cummins engine that will take you on a smooth and fast ride across the Chesapeake Bay. The boat is equipped with necessary navigational electronics, safety equipment, private toilet, and a live bait tank.
Fishing trips are available year round but the techniques you'll use can change depending on the season and fish you're targeting. You can go trolling, bottom fishing, or spinning for Striped Bass (Rockfish), Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and Black Drum. The first mate will clean your catch but if you had a tremendously successful day and an ice box overflows with the catch – the crew will appoint you to the cleaning station.
The captain moves between different locations around the Chesapeake Bay throughout the season. During the months of June and July, he'll be launching from Edgewater & Dundalk, while in August and September he'll be fishing out of Solomon's Island. He spends the rest of his season in Chesapeake Beach. His move dates are subject to change, so make sure you get in touch to find out where you'll launch from.
Bring your snacks, drinks, and sunscreen. Your fishing equipment is included in the price. No food or drink provided.
Capt. Jon loves teaching beginners how to fish and sharing his knowledge. You can come as a curious passenger but you'll leave the boat as an angler. Your adventure with Reel Attitude starts in Chesapeake Beach – just choose when.

Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, United States
Captain Jon grew up in the area and he's been fishing his whole life. He got his license back in 1998 and started running fishing trips. His favorite part of his job is watching first timers experience fishing. He says that people in his line of business often get complacent with the beauty of nature and seeing others experience it all for the first time reminds him how amazing it is.
