Maryland Fishing and Hunting
Welcome aboard The Marylander! Maryland's premier charter boat on the Chesapeake Bay. We are located on Maryland's Eastern Shore, in Stevensville, MD. This is just outside of Annapolis, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.
The Marylander is a 48' Chesapeake that was commissioned in the spring of 1999. It is currently powered by a 600 HP Cummins QSC Marine Diesel engine. This Marylander is equipped with heat and air conditioning for our customers' and crew members' comfort. It also is equipped with a restroom, two bunks in the forward cabin, a spacious dinette, and seating under our shaded canopy. The Marylander comfortably cruises at 18-20 knots and is well-maintained by her crew.
Captain Jason and his crew have a lifetime of experience on the Chesapeake Bay and the Eastern Shores tributaries. They take pride in targeting Striped Bass ('Rockfish') and other various species such as Blue Fish, and Spanish Mackerel by trolling, live lining, chumming, and jigging. They use the best methods available to target these species and look forward to sharing these experiences with you!
During your trip, Maryland Fishing and Hunting will provide all applicable rods, reels, tackle, lures, live bait, and fishing licenses. We provide these resources to give you the best chance of having a successful day on the Chesapeake Bay!
Once you come back to shore, your catch will be cleaned for you. Please note that this charter has a First Mate to assist you during your voyage. The Mate works very hard before, during, and after your trip and works for tips only. Gratuity is greatly appreciated and a gratuity of 20% is customary on the Chesapeake Bay.
We recommend bringing a camera to capture those moments and the sights of Chesapeake Bay! In addition, please consider bringing your own food, drinks, sunblock, ice (for your day's catch), appropriate clothes, and rain gear.
Our Captain and Crew look forward to seeing you on The Marylander, on Maryland's prestigious Chesapeake Bay!

The experience with Captain Jason, his crew, and boat was excellent from beginning to end. He was proactive on calling me to arrive earlier due to weather forecast for a rainy afternoon. Also, when we arrived, the boat, bait, and gear was all prepared and ready to go. They gave myself and my children, the one on one attention that we expected so it was really worth it. You won’t be disappointed! Highest recommendation.

Thank you for the great review Werner! We had a great time with your family and we had a blast watching the kids catching Striped Bass! We look forward to seeing everyone again soon aboard The Marylander!
Captain jason and first mate alex were amazing. i wouldn’t recommend another charter, our trip was a great experience and we caught plenty of fish to take home. Captain jason even stayed in the water to make sure we all got a fish on our line. One of the best charter boats and crew out there cant wait to go again 👍🏼

Thank you for the great review Dante! We had a great time with your fun crew! Congratulations on your success as well!
We had an excellent time with our friends and specially with my son, it was his first fishing trip and he had a great time! Jason, the captain and Steve, his helper, were very attentive and knowledgeable, they were a big help for my son and I really appreciate it! Even though it wasn't the greatest time for fishing, we still caught nice size fish and the crew definitely made our experience 10 times better! Will definitely book this ship again!

Thank you Alex for the great review! We had a great time with your crew and we hope to see everyone again soon!
Jason and Alex where amazing. They took great care of us and did everything they could to keep us on the fish. They treated me and my kids very well. They were awesome with the kids and made sure they had a great time.

Thank you for the great review. We had a great time with your family and it was great to see how enthusiastic your boys were about fishing. We hope to see everyone aboard The Marylander again soon!
