Fish along the upper stretches of the Laguna Madre, Baffin Bay, Land Cut and many more of South Texas' premier fishing grounds with Captain Grady Skelton, a fishing enthusiast who's been casting lines since he was a kid. Capt. Grady is an expert in wade fishing, so get in the water and battle the fish in their element. Don't feel like getting wet? Glide along the waters drift fishing and sight casting from the boat as you pursue a trophy.
Head off aboard his 24' SCB flats boat to test your skills against some of Texas' most prestigious fish. Go after big Redfish, delicious Flounder, and one the state's favorites – Speckled Trout. Follow the fish into the skinny waters, and when you're ready to go, get on plane in just 1' of water! Light and agile, this boat was built to rule the shallows.
Vagabond Flats offers year-round half day and full day trips tailored to meet your group's needs. Your trip includes rods, reels, tackle, lures, bottled water and snacks. Bait will be provided on request and at an extra cost.
Feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks as well. Just be sure not to fill up too much, as you'll have a chance to have your catch cleaned and filleted for a small extra cost. Then take your catch to a nearby restaurant to be cooked fresh! Please be sure to have a valid Texas Saltwater Fishing License with you before heading out for the day.

Had a good time! Pretty windy conditions but captain grady was able to put us on some fish. my wife was excited about her trout!
Had an amazing day with Capt Grady. He is very knowledgeable about fish and fishing techniques. He is very patient and determined to get you to the fish. He worked with me to make a fathers day weekend a great one.

Captain Grady Skelton is a U.S. Coast Guard certified and licensed professional fishing guide and owner of Vagabond Flats, LLC. He was born and raised in Texas, and has spent his entire life along the Texas coast chasing after Trout and Redfish. He specializes in wade fishing with artificial lures, but, as he aims to cater to every customer's needs, he's just as comfortable drift fishing and using live bait.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 14 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
