Charleston Fishing Excursions will take care of your next adventure in Charleston, SC, taking you on an inshore or nearshore trip. Anglers of all skills are welcome to join Captain Brent Welch. He's experienced with teaching people how to fish or accommodating experienced anglers
Hop aboard Capt. Brent's 22' Pathfinder. This bay boat accommodates up to 6 guests and she's powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine. She features all necessary navigational and safety equipment. There's also a cooler with ice where you can stash your food and drinks. Since space on the boat is limited, please don't bring your cooler.
The inshore trip will take you fishing the waterways of the South Carolina Lowcountry. Your main targets for the day will be Red Drum, Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead, and Black Drum.
Capt. Brent will provide your fishing equipment, lures, live bait, and cover your fishing license. Make sure to bring your snacks, drinks, and sunscreen. Alcoholic beverages are allowed in moderation, as long as they are not in glass bottles. Within regulations, you may keep your catch.
Times of the fishing trips are flexible depending on tides and the time of year.

We are visiting from NY and decided to book a fishing trip last minute. Brent advised us that the odds were against us with high tide, high winds and warm water. He was so patient with the kids and persistent with trying different locations. We had a great time and ended up catching a variety of fish. We caught Red Drum, Stingray, Toad fish, Croaker, and even a crab!
We had a great morning fishing charter in early April in Charleston, South Carolina with Brent Welch. Brent was knowledgeable, professional, and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. The weather was beautiful, the fishing was fun, and he knew exactly where to go to keep us on fish. Highly recommend Brent if you’re looking for a relaxed and well-run charter in the Charleston area.
my girlfriend and i had one of the best time wiith brent! he knew exactly where to take us. every spot had fish and it was a blast. he gave us tips on what to do and he was very good at what he does. we caught the inshore slam! caught seatrout, red fish, a black drum, flounder, and a toadfish. most definitely will be booking with brent again when we come back!
We have been on several charters throughout our travels and this was definitely the best. Captain Brent kept us on the fish and demonstrated his seasoned knowledge many times. Felt like we were fishing with a friend and not on a charter. Captain Brent kept hooks baited and coached us along as needed with great tips and tricks for landing 20+ fish!
What a trip. Brent put us on some montster red fish. Growing up in the area his knowledge was second to none. I highly recommend to book this trip you wont regret the decision.
