Inshore fishing consists of fishing in the rivers, creeks, inlets, and beaches surrounding Charleston. Typically the water is calm and land is always visible so motion sickness medicine is usually not needed, but feel free to bring some. The travel time from the dock to the fishing destination is short - typically 20 minutes so you will be fishing within minutes. On this type of fishing charter, depending on the time of year, we target Red Drum (aka Redfish or Spot Tail Bass), Sea Trout, Flounder, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Sharks, Sheepshead, and more! We use spinning reels and a variety of live bait, such as shrimp and finger mullet. This is the most popular excursion available in 1/2 day, 3/4 day, and full day trips.
Capt.Chappy is a local fishermen with plenty of experience when it comes to exploring the coast of South Carolina. He's passionate about these waters and loves nothing more than passing on his knowledge to his guests. The ultimate goal on each trip is to teach you the ways of these waters, and how to fish them – and to leave you with plenty to smile about!
You'll be fishing from your captain's 23' Sea Pro bay boat or 24' Blazer Bay boat. These are the perfect vessels for cruising our shallow fishing grounds, with room for up to 5 guests onboard. The Captains loves welcoming children on their adventures, so feel free to turn this into an unforgettable family adventure. Just make sure that any little ones are ages 5 or above. Your captain will provide you with life vests, and the boat is decked out with top-notch safety and navigational gear, too.

Captain Chappy is great with kids. He has lots of patience. We recommend him
Captain Chappy had us catching fish in no time. Caught several species and enough Reds for a great meal. Very knowledgeable and kept the bite fresh and fun. Would highly recommend booking with him. Only thing I will do differently next time is book a longer trip. Thanks for the memories.

I wanted to get a few novice fisher friends out on some fish and Captain Chappy knew exactly how to make that happen. He locked us in on a great bite from the Jetties to the Creeks. I highly recommend this Captain! I will be going out again after this experience.
Late decision to fish was no problem for Capt Chappy. We booked a morning session and he put us on a school of reds. Everyone caught fish and I especially enjoyed talking with him about the area. A good guy who made it happen, highly recommend!
