Join PV Hook Up Sportfishing Charters for an extraordinary adventure at the sea!
The Macarela is a 38’ custom sportfisher, powered by brand new twin 315 HP Cummins engines. This boat can accommodate up to 8 people. On board, you will find ample room for everybody to relax, along with a private bathroom as well as a bedroom below.
For fishing, the boat is equipped with 12 Shimano rods and reels that are rigged with fluorocarbon lines. There are tuna tubes, outriggers and downriggers on board, as well as a live bait tank. A new fighting chair can also be found among the vessel’s fishing amenities. As for navigation, the Macarela is equipped with a standard range of marine electronics, including GPS, Fishfinder, radar as well as radio.
The PV Hook Up team offers both bay and offshore fishing trips, depending on how much time you have on your hands. 4 and 6 hour trips give you plenty of time for some solid action inside the bay, whereas starting with an 8 hour trip, you can have enough time to venture far offshore in search of Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Dorado, Wahoo, and many other coveted big game species frequenting these waters.
Trips to all 3 of Puerto Vallarta’s famous fishing spots can be arranged - El Morro, Corbetena and El Banco are all accessible aboard the Macarela. All of these destinations have been associated with some of the best deep sea fishing around, year after year.
Unlike many other charters, when you fish with PV Hook up you can use both lures and live bait at no extra cost, and fishing licenses are supplied at no additional charge. There will also be a cooler filled with ice at your disposal.

12 Hour Offshore Trip (36-50 miles) on October 20, 2021
Caught fish. The water was a little choppy which the wife didn’t like but I loved it. Definitely would do it again. Thanks again.

10 Hour Offshore Trip (22-36 miles) on July 1, 2021
Guys tried hard, boat and equipment were fine, just wrong time of year. Wasted time and money when there were no fish available, feel taken advantage of.

10 Hour Offshore Trip (22-36 miles) on June 29, 2021
Should never have taken us offshore to 9' seas. Then say we can do an 8 hour inshore instead. Circled in the same cove for 4 hrs. When I finally asked if we were going to be there the rest of the day he finally moved. No bites except bait fish. Moved about 1 mile we caught 3 small Mahi in 5 min. Then he left!! Would not let us catch more! Horrible decisions by both captain and mate.
