Foot & Chain Fly Fishing Exchange
Operating out of Calgary, Canada, Foot & Chain Fly Fishing Exchange offers fun and productive fishing trips on the Bow River. Captain Stephen Stewart is a 3rd generation river fly fishing guide, and he can't wait to share all his experience with other passionate anglers and outdoor lovers.
His boat is a 17' drift boat manufactured by Hyde Drift Boats. It comes with a GPS and a cooler for drinks/food. It also features top-notch safety equipment so you won't have to worry about a thing on board. The vessel can take up to 3 anglers, out of which 2 can fish at the same time.
The Bow River is famous for both the size and quantity of Brown and Rainbow Trout it holds. Captain Stephen can take you exploring 3 distinct sections of this magnificent river – you'll have more than 22 kilometers of freshwater to discover. You might even catch some Mountain Whitefish on the way. This is a strictly catch-and-release fishery.
All the fly fishing equipment will be supplied by the captain. He also provides snacks, drinks, and lunch on all trips. Kids are allowed, but the parents must sign a waiver. The captain will provide life jackets for them.
Fishing licenses are to be bought online, prior to the trip. Customers should bring proper clothing, rain gear, warm clothes, sunglasses, and hats, but no worries if you're not sure what to bring – Captain Stephen sends out a list to every customer before the trip.
