i would absolutely recommend captain jennings to anyone especially if you have little ones. i booked this trip less than 24 hours ago and even though the weather wasnt the best being pretty chilly and very windy he did EVERYTHIBG he could think of to make sure my boys had a great time. i will ABSOLUTELY be booking with him again.

We booked this for my husband for a Father's Day gift & so glad we did! All 3 of us had a blast! Jennings was super knowledgeable about everything & made sure we were comfortable & having fun the entire time. He made it special for our boy & guided him to catch a really nice drum! He took us to several different areas to catch fish, taught us about the river, ways to catch different types of fish, taught my husband how to set up his poles for the area while we are staying here, etc. I would recommend Jennings to anyone, any age coming to this area for a wonderful fishing trip! You won't be disappointed! 1000 stars from our family! Definitely will return & book another trip with him!

Jennings was a great guide who listened to what we were wanting to experience & delivered it. We wanted to learn about the river & he had great knowledge that he shared & then we caught 2 Big drum fish to end the day. I would recommend him to go out fishing with if you want a nice day on the river catching fish. We will be back to the area and will use him everytime

We had a wonderful morning fishing with Captain Jennings. He communicated well before our trip so we knew what to bring and what to expect. He talked to us about what type of fish we were interested in catching and our preference of location. We had 4 people on our boat and he was able to help as needed, but also allowed us some independence. We caught 11 fish of different species, and we kept 3 to eat. Jennings cleaned the fish for us at the end of our trip. It was delicious. I am a lake fisherperson and have never fished in the ocean. Although apprehensive at first, Jennings made me feel very comfortable and I really enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend North State Guide Service and Captain Jennings. Happy fishing🙂

Captain Jennings went out of his way to make our trip the best.

Our family had a blast with Captain Jennings! He was so knowledgeable and kept our kids super entertained and fascinated by all of the wildlife we encountered. Fishing wasn’t necessarily our goal but I could tell that he would be an amazing fishing guide as well. Very personable, friendly guide who is great with adults and kids. Highly recommend!

Fun family trip, our capt tried everything to put us on the fish but the wind and the weather wouldn’t cooperate. Great experience, our captain was very knowledgeable and easy going, we laughed and enjoyed talking and learning from him. He called all around and no one was catching anything, we will be back for round 2.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST DAY EVER! Way better than I imagined, seriously. Cpt. Jennings was amazing! Very helpful, FANTASTIC service. I will most definitely be back....SOON! Booked the Sunset Cruise (4pm-8pm) for our 7yr anniversary. We're not from the area so parking was a little confusing for us. But Cpt. Jennings called and guided me in. He made sure we were comfortable and that we caught some good sized fish to bring home. It was on my bucket list to jump in the middle of the ocean and he made that possible for me. Most memorable trip. A couple of lifelong fishing stories as well. Cant wait to go back and catch those big boys that got away from us.

Captain Jennings is awesome! He Took our family fishing for the day and made it a trip we will never forget. We’ve been deal sea fishing in Mexico and Okinawa japan, and this was by far the best out of all of them! He took us trolling for Spanish mackerel and we caught a bunch for dinner! We were interrupted by a big storm that we had to speed away from! We went and checked the crab pods and got to bring them in and cook those for dinner as well! He taught us how to clean them and cook them. Set up everything for us on the boat, let us connect our phones to jam all day long and is a super down to earth guy that knows the area! Grew up here so he knows all the good spots. He also scooped us up a jelly fish to hold! Out of all the charters to book this is the one to choose! The boat fit up to 5 people and it was perfect size for all of us! Wish we could stay in North Carolina longer and do it again!

First trip but many to come with Captain Jennings! Surprised my husband with a half day charter but we both agreed on a full day next time! I would send every and anyone to Jennings! So professional and made us so comfortable the whole time! Thanks so much Capitain!!!
